A New Mickey Waffle Just Arrived in Town, And We’ll Never Be The Same Again

1 May 2026 at 13:33

Disneyland is the CAPITAL of tasty snacks, and even better, Disneyland adds new snacks ALL the time. Seriously, you could just skip all meals and snack your way around the parks and Downtown Disney and stay full (and, well, we’ve done it!).

New snacks alert!

We always get excited when new snacks drop, and now that eight NEW items are available on Disneyland menus, we raced to the parks to try them out. So let’s see what we thought!

First, we have to start with one of our favorite things: Mickey waffles! Now there’s a NEW Mickey- Shaped Celebration Waffles at Schmoozies for $10.99. These are 70th Anniversary Celebration waffles with Strawberry Filling and topped with Sprinkles and Powdered Sugar. Okay, the strawberry filling is tart, light, and refreshing, plus you get a nice light strawberry flavor from the whipped cream.

Mickey-shaped Celebration Waffles

We also love that the strawberry flavors don’t taste artificial. The waffles are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just like we like them! We’ll be grabbing this treat AGAIN AND AGAIN.

The perfect Mickey waffle

Then we made our way over to Avengers Campus to try a new snack at Pym Test Kitchen. Okay, so you know we love a grilled cheese, so we were excited about the Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese, made with Pepper & Onion Grilled Cheesesteak, topped with Cheese Sauce and Crunchy Manipulated Particles, served with Potato Bites for $16.79. Now, a word of warning: the bread tends to get hard fast, so eat it quickly. But the cheese is gooey, and the overall flavor is cheesy (our favorite thing).

Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese

The meat is well seasoned, while the Hot Cheeto puffs and onion ring chips add some unique crunch and pops of flavor. We love just how different this grilled cheese is. It’s a great example of Disney thinking outside the box.

It’s so unique!

Then we were on our way to Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta to try the Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake for $6.99. It’s a Cinnamon Cheesecake with Cream Cheese Frosting. So if you love cinnamon rolls, this tastes like a cinnamon roll, but in cheesecake form. It has the perfect amount of cinnamon flavor, and combined with the creamy cheesecake, it’s HEAVENLY.

Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake

We also loved that it wasn’t overly sweet, even with the cream cheese frosting, which we could’ve eaten by itself with a spoon.

Look at that fluffy cheesecake

Okay, that left us with one more stop, Lamplight Lounge. We ordered a new drink, The Lamplight Old Fashioned, made with Bourbon, Citrus, Spice, and Floral Spanish Liqueur, Maraschino Liqueur, Bitters, Luxardo Juice, and a Luxardo Cherry for $19.50. This is one of the best cocktails we’ve had here. The Maraschino liqueur adds such a nice cherry flavor, and combined with the Luxardo juice, there’s a lovely sweetness. It’s still a classic old fashioned, but with a nice twist.

The Lamplight Old Fashioned

We also grabbed the new Lemon Blueberry Cobbler Donuts for $11. These donuts are dipped in Cream Cheese Frosting and topped with Lemon-Blueberry Compote and Streusel. You get five mini donuts, which makes this snack great for sharing.

Lemon Blueberry Cobbler Donuts

These taste so fresh with a nice blueberry compote. The streusel gives it that cobbler kind of crunch. Our only complaint is that the lemon flavor is very subtle, but you do get a little tang from it.

SO good

Then it was time to park hop over to Disneyland to visit Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, where we picked up the Apple-Berry Hand Tart for $7.99It’s Apple-Berry Filling in a Buttery Pastry, topped with Frosting. This is like a plussed-up Pop-Tart, and we mean that in the best way possible. It tastes homemade, though, with some nice apple and berry flavors that come from the filling.

Apple-Berry Hand Tart

This baby also has a lovely, flaky crust, although it was a teensy bit dry, but still, very Pop-Tart-like. We also liked that this wasn’t super tart. In fact, the flavor leans more towards sweet.

Like a homemade Pop-Tart

We also grabbed the Key Lime-Blueberry Tart for $7.99, which is Key Lime and Blueberry Filling in a Graham Cracker Crust, topped with Chantilly Cream. Now this tart was, well, TART. SO tart. The key lime flavor is the strongest here, but when you get a bite combined with the blueberry, it’s the most refreshing combination EVER. The flavor of the Chantilly Cream is subtle, so it just adds a nice creaminess.

Key Lime Blueberry Tart

However, this is a great snack for a hot day, but you’re really going to have to love key lime flavors. The crust is nice and flaky, and maybe, just maybe, we’d order it again.

Wonderful flavor combo

Finally, we ordered the Orange Cream Cheesecake for $7.99, which is an Orange Cheesecake topped with Vanilla Chantilly and Orange Crunch. Remember those orange push pops you used to love as a kid? Well, if those were a cheesecake, they would be this because that’s EXACTLY what it tastes like. It’s so refreshing, with a great tangy and orange flavor.

Orange Cream Cheesecake

The cheesecake is so light and airy, as is the cream on top. The orange crunch adds a nice texture. The crust is light and thin, which just complements the snack as a whole.

PERFECTION

So, basically, Disneyland just dropped five stellar snacks that we can highly recommend if you’re visiting Disney California Adventure soon. We’ll keep looking out for new Disney snacks, too, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

REVIEW: Don’t Forget About These Snacks at the 2026 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

8 March 2026 at 14:19

Disney California Adventure’s Food and Wine Festival is FINALLY here, and we’re warning you now that if you’re hungry, you may want to grab a snack before you continue reading!

Schmoozies!

The 2026 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially started at Disneyland Resort, and there is so much to explore. From now through April 27th, you can devour some delicious eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and so much more. However, the festival booths aren’t the ONLY spots you can grab some exclusive eats — there are also festival-specific offerings at some of the year-round locations in the park, and we’re checking some of them out!

Schmoozies!

One of the items we were MOST excited about was the Mickey-shaped Banana-Hazelnut Waffles for $11.29.

Mickey-shaped Banana-Hazelnut Waffles

The chocolate hazelnut filling inside was thick and ooey and gooey, and reminded us of Nutella in the best way. The banana whipped topping has a very artificial taste to it, but it didn’t bother us too much. We do wish the banana was more of a custard inside the waffle and the chocolate hazelnut was a drizzle on top, just to balance the flavors a bit more, but all in all, this is a good waffle.

Lots of filling!

It’s not the best we’ve had, but it’s far from the worst, so we think it’s pretty solid!

Pym Test Kitchen

Here, you can grab the Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese for $14.99.

Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese

The parmesan crusted bread gave this sandwich a beautiful crunch that we adored, but it doesn’t add or take away any flavor from the rest of the dish, which we were happy about! The cheese itself was perfectly melty and gave us a great cheese pull, but both the spinach and artichoke flavor comes through a lot as well, so you’ll want to be sure you’re a fan of those flavors before grabbing this.

Delicious!

Now, the one downside here is that this is VERY heavy, so we don’t recommend eating it on a hot day, or in the middle of the day before you’re about to go on some rides. As for the potato bites, they were cooked well and had a great crunch, too. We enjoyed the garlic salt they had on top, but we do recommend dipping it in something, as otherwise the salt is a little much.

Yum!

Aunt Cass Café

First up was the Burrata Toast for $8.49, which is Toasted Boudin sourdough, onion jam, lemon burrata, marinated cherry tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic glaze.

Burrata Toast

We are SO happy this was brought back this year. Our toast was a bit burnt, but that was totally okay because there were plenty of toppings to make it soggy enough to cut into. The flavors of the grilled onions and burrata, along with the tang of the balsamic glaze, make this such an incredible snack. It’s not shareable because of the size, but we could easily eat three in one sitting because of how incredible it is!

We LOVE this!

New this year is the Banana Caramel Bread Pudding for $8.49, which is Banana pudding with caramelized butter sauce, whipped topping, and crushed vanilla wafers.

Banana Caramel Bread Pudding

We really wanted to love this, but unfortunately, while the initial bite has great flavor, the aftertaste rings very artificial. It’s gooey, warm, and has a lot of flavor, but it just wasn’t our favorite — we don’t think we’d get it again.

We wanted to love it more than we did!

We also grabbed the Bunch of Grapes Pull-apart Bread for $12.49, which is Boudin sourdough pull-apart bread. This is technically at the Boudin Bread Cart, right outside of Aunt Cass Café, but they’re right near each other!

Bunch of Grapes Pull-apart Bread

Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta

Here, you can snag a slice of the Chicken Spinach Artichoke Dip Pizza for $9.49, which is Herb roasted chicken with spinach artichoke creamy cheese sauce (you can also grab a whole pie, if you’d like!).

Chicken Spinach Artichoke Dip Pizza

Garlic is the MAIN flavor here, so you’ve really gotta love that flavor! The spinach artichoke flavor comes on the backend, and we do feel the pieces of artichoke were a little too big, and the chicken was slightly dry for us, but the pizza itself was baked very well, so it all sort of melted in your mouth. We recommend sharing this, as it IS a big slice, and it’s quite heavy!

Lots of garlic here!

Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream

Here you can grab the Frozen Banoffee Banana for $7.99! This is a Milk chocolate-dipped frozen banana with toffee pieces, caramel sauce, and white chocolate drizzle.

Frozen Banoffee Banana

If you’re a fan of frozen bananas, you’ll certainly love this treat. We personally let ours thaw the slightest bit before biting into it, which really made the soft, flavorful banana explode in our mouths in the best way. The chocolate is the secondary flavor, while the nuts come in on the backend. It falls apart immediately, so be sure to grab some napkins, but this was a solid treat!

Yum!

That’s it for now, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
