This Part of Disneyland Just Got WAY More Crowded

30 April 2026 at 12:55

Some BIG changes just came to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland…and we’re surprised by just how popular these changes seem to be.

Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

We’re talking about the melding of timelines in Batuu that now sees some characters (and music) from the Star Wars original trilogy hanging out and meeting with visitors. Yep, you can now see Darth Vader, Imperial Stormtroopers, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. But if you’ll be visiting this land soon, we’ve got to warn you about one thing: crowds.

Yes, the new characters are a very popular addition to Disneyland, and due to that, you’re going to run into some crowds there, like we did. Once we got to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, there were a ton of people hanging around the base of the Millennium Falcon, just hoping to get a glimpse of Luke, Leia, and Han.

Waiting

There were parts of Batuu, though, that still felt pretty normal. Most of the crowds were focused on meeting the new characters in the land.

It wasn’t all bad

Most of the other parts of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge felt pretty busy, though. There were a lot of people visiting the land on a not-so-random Wednesday.

Yes, it’s busy

Let’s just say these characters seem to be a HUGE draw for Disneyland right now. Hey, Chewie!

These characters are popular!

Needless to say, you’ll probably be seeing crowds in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for a while, at least until the “newness” of these characters wears off. So you’ll want to plan for that if you want to visit. To see when characters will be out, make sure you have the Disneyland app…you can check the appearance times for each character in the app. Now, it’s my experience that sometimes those times are more like “suggestions” than rules, but if you wait around, you’ll get to see the characters eventually.

We’ll keep an eye out for more Disneyland news, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Bluey’s Big Disneyland Debut Draws Crowds… Tips & Review

24 March 2026 at 03:48

Bluey has arrived at Disneyland with a new stage show that’s already drawing big crowds at the Fantasyland Theatre. But does “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” live up to the hype—and is it worth carving out time in an already packed park day? We checked it out during a preview and have everything you need to […]

You Won’t Believe the CROWDS for Disney’s New Bluey Attraction

23 March 2026 at 09:03

Bluey has hit Disneyland and with it, massive, MASSIVE, crowds.

Bingo and Bluey

A brand new Bluey experience debuted at Disneyland, and apparently, we aren’t the only fans of the Heeler family, because the crowds were unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

“Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” is a super fun show in the Fantasyland Theatre, and not only are Bluey and Bingo here to play, but there are also tons of dancers, interactive games, and it’s every kid’s (cough, cough, and adults) favorite show brought to life.

It was packed!

There are currently shows at 9:30 AM, 10:50 AM, 12:10 PM, 1:50 PM, and 3:10 PM. When we were there on opening day, and y’all, it was wild. It felt very unorganized because we didn’t think anyone expected these crowds. They cut the line after the second show to make sure they could fit everyone in the theater. Some people who were lined up since the first show started were able to watch it during the last show, and they were lined up all the way to the castle.

Make sure you get there early

We also learned that there are two different shows to watch. One is a storytime, and the other was a game show, and while it will normally alternate back and forth, we think that due to technical difficulties, they played a bit out of order. There also wasn’t much of a dance party atmosphere, but we think it was because it was so busy that there wasn’t much room to dance. We’re hoping once the shows have been out for a little bit, the crowds die down, and there’s room to dance. The dancers are also supposed to come out and play games with everyone after the shows, which also didn’t happen, but we’ll be keeping our eye out to see when everything settles down.

Not much room for dancing

You can find exclusive Bluey snacks at Troubadour Tavern, and we also saw massive lines here. They have a Bluey sipper and a popcorn bucket, which we expect to sell out fast.

Bluey is in Disneyland!

If you’re someone who needs to see the Bluey show and grab the snacks, you’ll want to make sure you get to Disneyland early. From parking to security to everything in between, Bluey has brought a crowd, so you’ll want to make sure you’re in line early for your best chance of getting into the show and securing your snacks and popcorn bucket.

DISNEYLAND UPDATE: Sold-Out Parks, Opera House Split & Chaotic Construction

16 February 2026 at 08:50

Last week delivered a perfect Disneyland storm: $104 Tier 0 tickets, a Valentine’s/Presidents’ Day weekend kickoff, and sunshine before the rain. By noon on Thursday, the resort was completely sold out… and the biggest meltdown wasn’t wait times, it was the Downtown Disney exit funnel, thanks to Porto’s construction walls that push guests into an […]
