DISNEYLAND UPDATE: Holiday Whiplash, DisneylandForward & Disney Downsizing

31 August 2026 at 08:33

School may be back in session, but Disneyland’s seasonal calendar is only getting busier. Halloween Time is now underway through October 31 (with Plaza de la Familia continuing through November 2), and Christmas is already waiting in the wings, with the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort running from November 13, 2026, through January 6, 2027. This Is the Next BIG Step for the Disneyland Expansion

26 August 2026 at 10:56

In 2021, Disneyland announced a new initiative to expand its theme parks and resort with the DisneylandForward initiative. Fast forward to now, in 2026, and we’re starting to see some of that expansion happening, with Avengers Campus getting two new rides, a new Coco ride in the works, and an entirely new Avatar land announced.

Disneyland ticket booths

However, in order for those big expansions to work, Disneyland needs other changes, too, including a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard. Well, plans are already in place for that bridge, and according to The Orange County Register, work will begin this week with the demolition of four ticket booths.

Demolition work will begin this week, starting with the eastern ticket booths on the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Permits have been filed to demolish the four ticket booths closest to Harbor Boulevard. Those permits list that the foundations will be removed and utilities capped at each of those booths.

Disney has plans for a new parking structure and transportation hub on the east side of the resort. Part of the Manchester Cast member parking lot will be used for part of that project, which will provide around 6,000 parking spaces, shuttle and rideshare services, additional security screening, and dedicated access for traffic off Disney Way. From concept art of the project, this transportation hub will also feature a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard. The ticket booths are being demolished ahead of constructing that pedestrian bridge.

The pedestrian bridge would span over the monorail with pedestrians passing between the Tropicana Inn and Camelot Inn hotels on Harbor Boulevard’s east side, connecting the existing Disney bus area to the Manchester employee parking lot, where the new Disneyland bus drop-off and pick-up area will be. The new parking garage and bridge are necessary steps as Disneyland builds new lands and attractions over the next five years as part of DisneylandForward.

DISNEYLAND UPDATE – Tomorrowland Troubles, The Vanishing Act, & A Parkwide Potty Panic

3 August 2026 at 09:00

Despite the fact that most schools are still on summer break, there’s been a noticeable lull in attendance at the Disneyland Resort, most likely due to a combination of high temperatures and many Magic Key holders being blocked out. And a quiet park has a way of showing you things you’d otherwise walk right past […]

DISNEYLAND UPDATE: Hot Days, Cool Crowds & Summer Shakeups

13 July 2026 at 09:07

June Gloom has burned off, and Southern California’s summer heat has arrived. But unlike in years past, the crowds haven’t followed. July is traditionally one of Disneyland’s busiest months, yet attendance has remained noticeably light so far. Budget-busting prices may be part of the reason. That could also explain why Disneyland’s limited $59 Evening Ticket […]

NEWS: Disneyland To Rebuild Train Station 3 Years After Fire

12 June 2026 at 11:08

Disneyland is getting some new updates!

Disneyland Train Station

In case you missed it, one of the most iconic Disneyland attractions is getting some major updates right now. While we wait to see the dinosaurs roam again, Disney also revealed that even more updates are coming to the famous ride!

Disneyland is rebuilding a train station building in New Orleans Square! This building was severely damaged more than three years ago because of an after-hours fire. According to the Orange County Register, Disney was issued a permit by the City of Anaheim to rebuild the radio house, which was previously an employee breakroom.

Damage from the fire taken in 2022

The fire first occurred in 2022, but the building wasn’t demolished until 2025. The permit details a 357-square-foot building that will have new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems inside it. It will once again be an employee breakroom and restroom. Disneyland officials have confirmed it will look similar to the previous building.

The new building will have an ADA-compliant pathway that will go over the train tracks for Cast Members to access the breakroom, according to Disneyland officials. The office previously played a continuous morse code message that was Walt Disney’s opening day dedication speech from 1955.

This isn’t the only work going on with the Disneyland Railroad. In Tomorrowland, the famous scene in the ride that takes you back to the time of the Dinosaurs is also getting a big overhaul. The scene, which contains animatronic dinosaurs, is currently covered up with some stand-in cutouts in place.

This Classic Disney Ride Looks TOTALLY Different

10 June 2026 at 09:28

When we’re at Disneyland, we love hopping on the Disneyland Railroad and taking a joyride around the park. There are so many amazing sights to see between New Orleans Square, ToonTown, and, of course, Main Street, U.S.A.

The Disneyland Railroad

But when we rode the Disneyland railroad yesterday, we noticed that one of our favorite scenes looks totally different!

We love the dinosaur scene of the Disneyland Railroad, where you can see Triceratops, T-rexes, and goats exploring the wilderness. But when we rode yesterday, this area was gone!

Dinos!

The scenes have now all been covered by a black tarp, and there are only cardboard cutouts of our favorite animals! It was a pretty disappointing ride compared to what we’re used to. You can watch our ride-through here:

DISNEYLAND UPDATE: Bash Tickets, New Gateway & A Big Avengers Birthday

8 June 2026 at 08:39

The theme park summer season has only just started, and Disneyland is already thinking about Halloween. Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on sale next week, and there’s a brand new street party replacing the Frightfully Fun Parade. Will that be enough to justify the high prices of the event… which starts in mid August?! But […]
