This Popular Disney Bar Is Under Construction, But It’s Still Open!

16 September 2026 at 09:11

When we’re at Disneyland craving something tropical, we love heading to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar for fruity drinks and Polynesian snacks.

DOLE Whip Cocktail

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar was closed for refurbishment until May this year, and the building is already being refurbished again!

We went to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar today when we noticed a brown scrim all along the length of the building. We saw construction workers going in and out, so there’s definitely some refurbishments happening!

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar

Even though the building looks closed, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is still fully operational! You’ll find a hostess stand at the front of the building, and they’ll lead you to outdoor tables and an outdoor bar serving the same Trader Sam’s drinks you know and love.

The hostess stand!

You can still grab some of Trader Sam’s new 15th anniversary menu items during the exterior refurbishment. Our favorite of the new bunch is the Furikake Fries, which are beer-battered French fries, furikake, green onions, and gochujang aioli for $12. We also enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Flatbread, made with Teriyaki chicken, red onions, mozzarella cheese, micro herbs, Fresno chilies, green onions, pineapple, and Kälua pork) for $24.

Furikake Fries

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on more refurbishments at Disneyland. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disneyland news!

This NEW Disney Snack Is A Candy Lover’s DREAM

11 September 2026 at 14:32

If you have a sweet tooth and you’ll be at Downtown Disney soon, then you need to have Disney’s newest candy on your radar!

So many options!

You can fill up a bag or mini trash can at Downtown Disney’s brand-new bulk candy station!

A bag of the brand-new bulk candy alone is $14.99, and you can bundle it with a souvenir container. The Main Street, U.S.A. Novelty Candy Container is $14.99 with any bulk candy purchase, so this souvenir will be $29.98 before tax. You can find both the bulk candy and the souvenir trash can in at the Wonderful World of Sweets in Downtown Disney.

Trash cans!!!

You can choose from so many different types of brand-new bulk candies to fill your bag or trash can up with, including Butterfly Gummies from The Netherlands, Raspberry Gummies from The Netherlands, Raspberry Jellies from The Netherlands, Fruit-flavored Gummies from Italy, and Banana and Strawberry-flavored Gummies from The Netherlands. The candies we tried were so yummy and packed with fruit flavor!

So many options!

These Main Street, U.S.A. Novelty Candy Containers are miniature replicas of the iconic Main Street, U.S.A. trash cans you’ll find at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom! With swinging side lids and a flip-top opening, they’ve got all the charm of their full-sized cousins, just shrunk down and filled with sugar (how amazing is that?!).

The display

These are identical to the versions sold in Disney World, which you can find at Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom. We got ours there last year, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite Disney souvenirs!

We filled our trash can with M&Ms!

We’ll be sure to update you on more fun Disneyland snacks. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney food news!

A NEW Disneyland Bathroom Just Opened (And You’re Gonna LOVE IT!)

9 September 2026 at 15:59

Disneyland regulars, this is NOT a drill! There’s a new bathroom in town!

The new bathroom!

The walkway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure opened up today with a brand-new bathroom. Come with us to check it out!

From Avengers Campus, you’ll head down the walkway to find this Strategic Scientific Reserve garage from Captain America!

Strategic Scientific Reserve

From there, you’ll enter the back of Cars Land, with this brand-new Take-A-Break Rest Stop sign pointing towards the new restroom!

Let’s take a break at the rest stop!

Inside the corner, you’ll find the new Take-A-Break Rest Stop, a vintage tire repair shop featuring a water fountain outside and restrooms inside.

The new bathroom!

The new restroom has six stalls, and it was super clean when we stopped by.

So clean!

There were lots of sinks, too, including a kids-sized one!

Sinks!

They even have changing tables for the parents out there!

Changing tables!

And it’s super well-themed, with a Dinoco Gasline sign.

Let’s refuel!

Plus, there’s a “Wash, Dry, Rest, Take-A-Break” sign.

Are you ready to Take-A-Break?

We also caught a glimpse of the Avengers Campus expansion outside. This building will be the future Stark Flight Lab ride!

It’s Stark Flight Lab! (kind of)

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have seen dozens of ride closures and refurbishments this year, including Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and Toy Story Mania.

Disney California Adventure

A popular Disney California Adventure ride closed back in April with no reopening date, and Disney just announced that the ride will open this week!

The Silly Symphony Swings at Disney California Adventure closed on April 27th, with no official reopening date. After a four-month-long closure, the Silly Symphony Swings will finally open soon! Disney just announced that the ride will reopen on Friday, August 28th, 2026.

In Silly Symphony Swings, you’ll experience the thrill of flying as this classic ride carries you aloft for breathtaking views of Disney California Adventure’s excitement below. As music swells and the colourful canopy rotates, your swing lifts, tilts, then twirls you round and round, higher and higher into the air as you wheel above it all in graceful, soaring circles.

Silly Symphony Swings

If you’re headed to the ride for the first time, it’s a little hidden. Go to Paradise Gardens Park and walk to the back, past Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, all the way to the end of the land by the back entrance to Pixar Pier.

5 Huge Disneyland Announcements Could Be Coming This Week

12 August 2026 at 10:11

Disney has some major announcements up their sleeve that they’re saving for D23: the Ultimate Disney Fan Event, a biannual expo where they release some major news about the Disney theme parks.

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland

Disneyland has some major expansions coming soon that Disney hasn’t updated us on since the last D23 expo in 2024. Disney could make many HUGE Disneyland announcements at D23, but here are five MAJOR announcements that might be revealed this weekend!

Avengers Campus

Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure will soon double in size with two new rides. Avengers: Infinity Defense will have riders join the Avengers in their epic battle against Thanos! The ride will jump between worlds with settings including Wakanda, Asgard, and New York. Plus, you’ll see familiar faces like Hulk, Ant-Man, and Iron Man voiced by Robert Downey Jr. himself!

Avengers Infinity Defense ©Disney

Another sneak peek we’re hoping for soon is Stark Flight Lab. In this new ride, you’ll fly like an Avenger with Iron Man! Imagineers are creating a brand new technology where a robotic arm attaches to your vehicle for a more dynamic simulated flight. But even with all of these fun ride details, Disney hasn’t yet announced an opening day for them!

©Disney

Pandora: The World of Avatar

An all-new Avatar land is coming to Disney California Adventure! This new destination will bring Pandora to life in a brand-new way inspired by Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and upcoming Avatar 4 and Avatar 5.

©Disney

In June 2025, Disney confirmed the new Avatar land will take over a portion of the current Hollywood Backlot area, and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! will close in 2027. That’s all we have in terms of a timeline for Pandora, so we’ll likely get more news at D23.

Coco ride

Back in August 2024, Disney shared that a brand-new Coco ride would be coming to Disney California Adventure. The brand-new Coco ride will be located near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, and construction is currently underway.

©Disney

The new attraction will be a boat ride, and we’ll see music play a large role. Disney hasn’t announced an opening date or timeline yet, but since it’s currently under construction, we might get an update this weekend!

New park!?!

Rumors of a new Disneyland theme park have been circulating for years, but Disney has never confirmed anything.

©Disney

With the $2 BILLION development upgrade to Disneyland’s parking and resorts finally taking shape, Disney will soon have the infrastructure to support a third theme park if it’s truly in the works behind the scenes.

The Disneyland Expansion Is Just Getting Started. Here’s What Might Come Next…

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on Disneyland news from D23 this weekend. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disneyland news!

Dates and Returning Attractions Announced For Disneyland’s Holiday Season

25 July 2026 at 10:02

We love visiting the Disney Parks during the holiday season. Where else can you eat Christmas cookies, listen to holiday music, and meet Santa Mickey Mouse all in one place?

Sleeping Beauty Castle will look like this soon!

We especially love Disneyland Resort’s holiday celebration with “it’s a small world” Holiday, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and Festival of the Holidays. But Disney announced that we’re about to get even more holiday fun this year, because the festivities are starting EARLY!

All I Want For Christmas Ugly Sweater

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will begin November 13th, 2026! This will bring so many fun celebrations to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Dozens of holiday traditions are returning this year, including Believe…In Holiday Magic, a special fireworks presentation over Sleeping Beauty Castle, which even features a dusting of snow! Speaking of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the park’s signature landmark is all dressed up with sparkling icicles in the evenings for Wintertime Enchantment.

Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty Castle

A Christmas Fantasy Parade delivers beloved Disney characters joined by a very special guest: Santa Claus! Other festive friends included reindeer, Toy Soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies, and more.

We love this parade!

The return of Haunted Mansion Holiday presents some not-so-subtle nods to The Nightmare Before Christmas thanks to some extra decorations placed by the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington! Every year, the Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland is complete with a new gingerbread house in the ballroom. The 2025 theme was A Murder Most Fowl.

Haunted Mansion Holiday 2025

Both the outside and inside of “it’s a small world” Holiday present festive flair as the Happiest Cruise on Earth dons holiday tunes and glittering lights! Over 300,000 lights adorn the iconic attraction during the holiday season. The official lighting at dusk each evening is a Disneyland Resort tradition. After that, you can catch a special light projection show every 30 minutes. Inside, the ride overlay also features the dolls of the attraction all dressed in traditional holiday clothing from each of their respective cultures.

it’s a small world Holiday

Plus, Disney California Adventure’s Festival of the Holidays is returning on November 13th, too! This Festival — with celebrations for Christmas/Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day — includes live entertainment, themed merchandise, and traditional cuisine from around the globe at Festive Foods Marketplaces.

Disney Festival of the Holidays

Disneyland Resort’s holiday season will run from November 13th, 2026, to January 6th, 2027, so you have plenty of time to join in on the holiday fun. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disneyland news!

It Just Got EASIER To Dine At Disney’s NEW Celebrity Chef Restaurant

18 July 2026 at 14:46

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby is now open at Downtown Disney, and it’s already super popular. Not only is it a brand-new, one-of-a-kind concept by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, but it’s every Disney fan’s dream, with an outdoor terrace featuring great views of the fireworks.

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips

So it’s really no surprise that all reservations until the end of September were snatched up within 15 minutes of the booking launch. But if you also lost the OpenTable War trying to get a reservation there, then today is your lucky day. It just got easier to dine at The Carnaby!

Click for your FREE Disneyland Snack Map

After selling out initial reservations through September, Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby has now increased its nightly dining capacity, expanded dinner hours, and released new reservations as part of its phased opening. You can reserve these newly released tables right now for dates through December 30th, 2026, on both OpenTable and the restaurant’s website.

Beef Wellington

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby is now open nightly for dinner from 4 PM to 10 PM, adding an extra half hour from the previous 4:30 to 10 PM hours. Reservations are open for nearly every day until the end of the year at every hour and half hour. They also accept walk-ins, which should be successful with their increased availability, but The Carnaby still strongly recommends advance reservations.

Parker

“The excitement surrounding The Carnaby has exceeded even our highest expectations,” said Robert Earl, founder of Earl Enterprises, which is a co-owner of The Carnaby in collaboration with Gordon Ramsay. “Seeing initial reservations sell out within minutes affirmed what we believed from the beginning: guests were ready for a dining experience unlike anything else at Downtown Disney. As we thoughtfully expand capacity, we’re excited to welcome even more guests while maintaining the exceptional hospitality and culinary experience that define The Carnaby.”

Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby

If you’re headed to The Carnaby for dinner, we strongly recommend the Parker Rolls for a starter, which are warm and fluffy brioche rolls. The Beef Wellington is famous for a reason, and it was utter perfection! As for side dishes, the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese was thick and creamy with a strong smoke flavor. And to finish with dessert, the Sticky Toffee Pudding is a warm, decadent must-have!

An Exclusive Disney Vacation Club Perk Is Ending SOON

12 July 2026 at 11:02

From dining discounts to merchandise deals, who doesn’t love to take advantage of the perks Disney offers? But one of our favorite perks is Disney’s secret lounges hidden across the parks!

©Disney

Disney Vacation Club members can escape the heat (and the crowds!) by visiting the Disney Vacation Club Star View Station at Disneyland. But that’s about to change soon, because Star View Station is temporarily closing!

Star View Station is located in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. The lounge is filled with retro space-theming and historic Disney gems, including the old K7 Space Suit worn by the Tomorrowland astronauts in Disneyland Park! There are a variety of amenities, including a special Disney Vacation Club Member Services team, plenty of seating, complimentary Wi-Fi, device-charging stations, and complimentary soft drinks.

©Disney

But Star View Station is temporarily closing soon! Starting on July 27th, 2026, the lounge will close for routine maintenance work. It’s scheduled to reopen on an unannounced date in the fall of 2026.

Star View Station lounge

Once Star View Station is closed, you can head to a temporary lounge space inside Starcade, located near the exit of Space Mountain in Tomorrowland, where you’ll find a sectioned space made available for Disney Vacation Club members.

Starcade seating

While the Disneyland Disney Vacation Club lounge is closed, you can still access the neighboring Disney California Adventure‘s DVC lounge. The Golden Vine House near Wine Country Trattoria offers ice-cold air-conditioning and plenty of seating.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all of the closures coming to Disneyland. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney news!

Disneyland has a brand-new version of Soarin‘ – and we just got to ride it early!

Soarin’ Across America

Soarin’ Across America celebrates the 250th birthday of the U.S. by soaring riders across both coasts of the U.S., highlighting some of the country’s iconic landscapes and cityscapes. Think sweeping natural beauty, recognizable skylines, and a heavy dose of Americana!

We rode Soarin’ Across America at Disney California Adventure, and we’re bringing you all of our thoughts! Soarin’ Across America celebrates the 250th Anniversary of the U.S.! This brand-new version of Soarin’ takes riders across both coasts of the U.S., highlighting some of the country’s iconic landscapes and cityscapes. There’s a new sign out front to celebrate the updated ride as well.

Inside the queue, you’ll find patriotic bunting celebrating the Fourth of July and America’s 250th birthday.

The pre-show is primarily the same, with some new jokes thrown in by the now Captain Patrick Warburton before the original spiel plays.

This NEW Disney Popcorn Bucket Is Every Toy Story Fan’s DREAM

18 June 2026 at 16:52

Here at Disney Food Blog, there’s nothing we love more than a massive bucket of Disney popcorn. But there’s something that makes it ten times better – a massive bucket of Disney popcorn in a Toy Story 5 popcorn bucket!

Jessie took our popcorn bucket!

Disney has just released a brand-new popcorn bucket coming to the parks, and it’s inspired by one of our favorite Toy Story steeds. That’s right, the Bullseye Bucket has arrived!

Click for your FREE Disneyland Snack Map

This Bullseye Bucket is available at various popcorn carts around Disneyland for $29 with popcorn, and you can mobile order it on the Disneyland app. You can also get it at Award Weiners with fries instead of popcorn.

We got ours at the Grizzly Peak popcorn cart!

This Bullseye Bucket is so much more than a popcorn bucket. It has a container where you can place your popcorn bucket, but it comes with a detachable saddle so you can cover it and make your very own Bullseye toy! He also has poseable legs to adjust him for any snack adventure.

So cute!

The Bullseye Bucket will also be coming to Disney World soon, but Disney hasn’t announced which parks or the release date for the East Coast. We can’t wait to have a photoshoot with this little guy in Toy Story Land!

It’s Bullseye!

We love our new Bullseye popcorn bucket from Disneyland. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disneyland (but mostly popcorn) news!

This Classic Disney Ride Looks TOTALLY Different

10 June 2026 at 09:28

When we’re at Disneyland, we love hopping on the Disneyland Railroad and taking a joyride around the park. There are so many amazing sights to see between New Orleans Square, ToonTown, and, of course, Main Street, U.S.A.

The Disneyland Railroad

But when we rode the Disneyland railroad yesterday, we noticed that one of our favorite scenes looks totally different!

We love the dinosaur scene of the Disneyland Railroad, where you can see Triceratops, T-rexes, and goats exploring the wilderness. But when we rode yesterday, this area was gone!

Dinos!

The scenes have now all been covered by a black tarp, and there are only cardboard cutouts of our favorite animals! It was a pretty disappointing ride compared to what we’re used to. You can watch our ride-through here:
