Even after all this time, the Disneyland Resort continues to find ways to surprise me.

I’ve been going to Disneyland for 30 years — yes, THIRTY YEARS — but that doesn’t mean I’ve explored every nook and cranny. In fact, I just attended my very FIRST Oogie Boogie Bash this year! I know. I know. If you’re a Disneyland regular, you’re probably wondering how I managed to avoid one of the biggest Halloween events at the Disneyland Resort for THIS long. Well, I reckoned it was time to finally experience this huge Disney California Adventure party, and I went in with pretty reasonable expectations. Suffice it to say, I walked away with some shocking discoveries.

I figured there would be Halloween decorations, some characters, candy, special entertainment, and maybe a few shorter ride waits. What I wasn’t expecting was just how much I would feel both during and after the event. After finally experiencing Oogie Boogie Bash for myself, there are three things that genuinely shocked me.

1. The Value Is WAY Better Than I Expected

Let’s get one thing out of the way first: Oogie Boogie Bash tickets are not cheap. Tickets range between $139 and $199 per person, and they don’t include all-day access or park-hopping capabilities. But when you actually look at what you’re getting, the value is surprisingly good.

The ticket price can be comparable to what you might pay for a regular one-day, one-park Disneyland ticket. But Oogie Boogie Bash gives you something that a normal park day doesn’t necessarily provide: a significantly different experience with a much emptier-feeling Disney California Adventure.

And you get more time than you’d initially think! The party officially gets going in the evening at 6 PM, but guests can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3 PM. The party doesn’t end until 11 PM — so that gives you a whopping eight hours in DCA.

And during the party itself, you have access to experiences and offerings that you simply aren’t going to get on a normal day. There are shorter waits for many attractions, tons of characters, Halloween entertainment, themed areas, special treats, and — perhaps most importantly — candy. Lots and lots of candy.

Yes, you are essentially paying Disney to let you walk around California Adventure collecting candy. And honestly? It’s worth it. My bag alone still isn’t empty, and I walked away with A BUCNH of goodies. Still, the biggest thing for me was how much more manageable the park felt. You aren’t trying to cram all of this into a normal, packed Disney day while it’s 90 degrees out. The event gives you a different rhythm.

The flexibility offered is unique to this event, and I wasn’t quite ready for it.

2. The Atmosphere Is WAY More Immersive Than I Expected

I expected Oogie Boogie Bash to look like Halloween, and I was ready for the cuteness and Disney showmanship, but I didn’t necessarily expect it to feel like Halloween. Events like Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights can really embrace the holiday — no holds barred because it caters to an older audience. Disney still has to be family-friendly, and it was, but there was a bit more theming that toed the line of being very spooky that really impressed me.

Once the party gets going, the atmosphere becomes a huge part of the experience. Disney creates different themed areas throughout the park, and some of them are surprisingly elaborate. Villains Grove is probably the most obvious example.

This isn’t just “Hey, there are some Halloween decorations over here.” It feels like you’ve stepped into a completely different environment. There are lights, sounds, projections, effects, music, and an overall atmosphere that makes you slow down and actually take in your surroundings.

And then there are the characters. They are EVERYWHERE. There are so many opportunities to see characters throughout the event that it can start to feel like you’re constantly choosing between things you want to do.

I’m personally not much of a character fanatic, but I still enjoyed them nevertheless! You get to see a bunch of villains with this event, and those characters can often be sassy, extra-creative, and quite funny.

With that said, if your priority is character interactions, get ready to wait in long lines. Those eight hours can fly by fast, and it’s easy to miss opportunities to ride attractions, grab snacks, check out a street show, or revisit a treat trail.

Let’s talk about the music for a minute. Disney goes HARD on the Halloween soundtrack. You’re going to hear a LOT of Halloween music during Oogie Boogie Bash — and it really does immerse you in this manufactured Halloween realm.

For the most part, this is pretty cool. HOWEVER, I’m not necessarily the biggest fan of every single Halloween song that Disney has chosen to blast throughout the park, and the songs do repeat over and over again. While there were some bops, I did get tired of some songs.

All in all, the music does make the event feel like an actual party rather than a normal day at Disney California Adventure with a Halloween overlay. That distinction surprised me.

3. There Really IS Something for Everyone

I typically budget my Disney days to regular park days, and my Magic Key annual pass rather than splurging on after-hours events, and my aversion to character meet-and-greets typically keeps me away from events that really focus on these kinds of experiences. But I was fairly surprised by how much fun I had.

Oogie Boogie Bash isn’t really one experience. It’s a bunch of different experiences happening at the same time — which means you can make the event whatever you want it to be.

Love characters? You can go all-in on character meet-and-greets and treat trails. Love candy? Congratulations. You have found your Olympics. Obsessed with rides? You can spend your night taking advantage of shorter wait times and enjoying attractions. Craving some exclusive eats? There are special Halloween treats and food offerings to hunt down. Ready to take in some spooky entertainment? There are special shows and entertainment throughout the event.

What you CAN’T do is everything. There is simply too much happening. If you try to experience every character meet-and-greet and every attraction, you’re probably going to spend the entire evening running around and wondering where your time went.

Instead, I think the trick is to figure out what YOUR thing is. But keep in mind — I think it’s totally possible to do a little bit of everything in eight hours. In my 30 years of visiting Disneyland, that’s not a sentence I was able to utter. I’ve experienced plenty of Halloween at the Disneyland Resort over the years. But Oogie Boogie Bash feels different because it gives you the opportunity to make your own version of the event. And honestly, I wish I’d tried it sooner.

So, if you’ve been putting off Oogie Boogie Bash because the ticket price seems high or because you’re wondering whether there’s enough to actually do, I’d say it’s worth taking another look. We’ve covered the event thoroughly so you can know what you’re getting into and plan before your visit (game-planning certainly helped me!).

EVERYTHING You Can Expect at Disney’s Oogie Boogie Bash in 2026

Halloween is one of the BEST seasons to visit Disneyland Resort, especially if you head on over to Disney California Adventure. That’s right, it’s finally time to kick off the Halloween season!

One of the best ways to celebrate the season is Oogie Boogie Bash! This after-hours event is a full night of Halloween fun with special snacks and all of your favorite villains. We’re here for the first party of 2026, and we’re showing you EVERYTHING you need to know!

 

The Basics

Oogie Boogie Bash runs on select nights from August 18th to October 31st and is a separately ticketed event in Disney California Adventure where the park is completely transformed into a Halloween spectacular. The event is five hours long, but with lower crowds than normal, there’s SO much you can get done!

Tickets range from $139 to $199, with nights closer to Halloween being the most expensive. The event starts at 6 PM and runs until 11 PM. You can get into the park as early as 3 PM with an event ticket, but the official party fun doesn’t start until 6 PM.

Crowds

These after-hours parties can be pretty busy, and we were expecting long lines for exclusive merchandise and characters. However, when we visited the party on opening night, we noticed that the crowds were not as intense as we expected. Even all the treat trail lines moved pretty quick!

We made sure to pick up our wristband first thing, and then we were ready to party!

These wristbands are how Cast Members check and make sure you’re supposed to be in the park for the party, so be sure to keep yours visible at all times.

Event Guide

Make sure you grab an event guide when you get to the park! This map will show you where to find all the characters, treat trails, snacks, and more. Photo locations for PhotoPass are also listed, and you get FREE access to them all night with your party ticket, so our advice? Take advantage of each and every one!

The event guide is a great souvenir, but it’s also PACKED full of information for the evening. You can use this event guide to help plan out your evening and see where everything is located in the park.

In fact, we recommend stopping to look over the map the moment you grab it, rather than waiting until later at night.

Merchandise

Who doesn’t love exclusive merchandise? We know we’re suckers for it every year! There are tons of exclusive merchandise you can find throughout the event, although one of our favorites had to be these Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie Ears!

Make sure to dedicate some of your time at Oogie Boogie to explore all the great merchandise!

Treat Trails

One unique part about Oogie Boogie Bash is the immersive treat trails. You can grab free candy while walking through themed trails with some of your favorite villains. Disney provides a free candy bag when you arrive at the event, but you can also bring another one if you’d like. In fact, you can walk through these trails as many times as you’d like! 

These are some of the best ways to see some super rare Disney Villains. While they’re not traditional meet-and-greets (in order to keep the lines moving), we still find it super cool. It’s a big draw each year, so expect to see some long lines — they do traditionally move fast, though! First up, we saw  Yzma at her treat trail in Grizzly Peak. She is a brand-new character this year, and we were thrilled to see her make an appearance at Oogie Boogie.

You can also spot the host himself, Oogie Boogie, at his treat trail over in the Disney Animation building in Hollywood Land.

Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb has returned this year with a treat trail at the Disney Junior Theater in Hollywood Land.

You can find Ernesto de la Cruz singing to guests at the treat trail located just outside Avengers Campus in Hollywood Land.

There is also a treat trail in Pixar Pier featuring Syndrome. 

It was Agatha all along! You can find Agatha Harkness over in Avengers Campus.

Over in Grizzly Peak, you can find a treat trail featuring the Mistress of All Evil, Maleficent. 

You can also spot everyone’s favorite temperamental villain Hades!

Finally, you can visit Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit near Hollywood Lounge in Hollywood Land.

Villains Grove

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is the place to be for a full walkthrough experience with some of the best Disney Villains around.

This year, the sections you’ll get to explore are:

• Frollo’s Sanctuary
• Maleficent’s Will
• Queen of Hearts Garden
• Scar’s Elephant Graveyard
• Dr. Facilier’s Friends on the Other Side
• The Wicked Queen’s Lightning Forest
• Home of the Wisps
• Dawn

While this is a bit spookier, no one is intentionally trying to scare you, and there aren’t any jump scares. Still, it may be helpful to prepare younger kiddos for what they’re going to experience, and perhaps go through when it’s still light outside if you’re concerned.

Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party

This year, the beloved Frightfully Fun Parade has been replaced by a new offering, Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party, due to construction around the backstage area.

This is a new parade of its own kind, full of spooky music, energetic dancing, and spirited Characters. If you’re a big fan of Haunted Mansion, we’ve got a feeling you’ll LOVE this!

We absolutely loved this experience, so be sure to check your guide for times and prioritize seeing this during your time at Oogie Boogie!

Food

This year, there have been tons of Halloween eats announced for Disneyland Resort, but none of them are only available during Oogie Boogie Bash! Regardless, we did choose to snag a few treats during the party to give them a try. We headed over to Schmoozies! first to snag the Matcha Mickey-shaped Waffles filled with banana custard.

From the Cappuccino Cart, we snagged the Mickey-shaped Waffle Macaron. This is a Mickey-shaped macaron filled with salted maple buttercream, maple syrup, and chocolate-coated waffle pieces.

The Halloween season has officially arrived at Disneyland, and we couldn’t be more excited!

There’s so much coming to the resort for the spooky season, and we’ve been doing everything in our power to keep up with it all so you stay in the know. Now that the Halloween season has officially kicked off, something very high on our list was to see some of our favorite classic characters in their new costumes, and we were NOT disappointed!

When announcing what was coming for the spooky season, Disney let us know that Mickey and the gang were getting brand-new costumes to celebrate. They were described as featuring “harlequin motifs, frilled collars and cuffs, and swirling confection details in hues of orange, yellow, and black.” You can meet them in Town Square, and now that we’ve gotten the chance to see these costumes in person, we have to say they are super cute!

We had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of these new character costumes at an event. We got to see both Minnie and Goofy in their new Halloween best.

Minnie is wearing a dress with puffy sleeves, multi-pattern leggings, and a brand-new bow. The colors of this new costume are various shades of orange and yellow. The whole design feels like a drawing come to life, and we definitely think that Disney pulled through on the promise of “harlequin motifs.”

Next up, we got to see Goofy, who has a similar color palette and overall design. However, his outfit appears to be reminiscent of a Court Jester, which fits into Goofy’s overall silly and fun vibe very well.

It’s safe to say that we are obsessed with these new costumes, and we think they will be an amazing addition to the Halloween season over in Disneyland!

Are you ready? Halloween is a BIG deal in Disneyland, like even bigger than in Disney World, and when it arrives, all the spookiness hits Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney in a HUGE way. And don’t even get us started on Oogie Boogie Bash, one of the BEST Disney Halloween parties.

It’s called Halloween Time, and Disneyland goes all out with decor, characters in Halloween outfits, special food and snacks, and so much more. Well, Halloween Time has officially kicked off in Disneyland, and we’re there getting spooky with it.

Halloween Time runs from August 21st through October 31st, and the first sign you’ll see of it is at the park entrances. The Disneyland entrance gets some fun character pumpkins on top of its gates.

Once you make your way into Disneyland, you’ll see a giant Mickey pumpkin that folks are probably standing in line for to get a photo with — it’s pretty epic.

Be sure to take some time to visit with characters — they’ve all dressed up just for the occasion! Check out Minnie’s sweet Halloween outfit!

Goofy is sporting his best Halloween gear, too!

You’ll also see other Halloween decor throughout the park.

Over in Frontierland, in front of the Golden Horseshoe, you’ll see the Halloween Tree, which is a tribute to legendary sci-fi author Ray Bradbury, who also just happened to be friends with Walt Disney.

In New Orleans Square, Haunted Mansion has been given a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay, turning it into Haunted Mansion Holiday. This overlay will last throughout the Halloween and holiday seasons.

Inside, you’ll see an impressive gingerbread house in the ballroom scene, and this year’s gingerbread house is a brand NEW design.

Disney California Adventure’s entrance gets an Oogie Boogie theme, and listen up, because you’ll HEAR Oogie Boogie speaking from time to time.

Meanwhile, Carthay Circle Restaurant has been infested by a cloud of “bats” overhead.

Be sure to stop and get a photo with the Headless Horseman statue on Buena Vista Street, too.

Cars Land becomes Radiator Screams (instead of Radiator Springs…get it?).

The land gets a ton of spooky decor, including some of your favorite Cars characters dressed in costumes. You’ll also be able to get a ride on Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

In the late afternoon each day, Guardians of the Galaxy closes briefly and then reopens as Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark. Yep, the ride gets an all-new scary story and scenes.

Plaza de la Familia has also returned to California Adventure. This is a celebration of Día de los Muertos, and includes special entertainment, arts and crafts, special decor, and a memory wall where you can add your own memories.

Did we mention the food? There are HUNDREDS of Halloween menu snacks and drinks to bite into during Halloween Time. You can see the full list of Halloween and fall snacks in Disneyland here. Yes, there are A LOT.

Of course, we had to try one of these special treats, the Rest in Chocolate, which is available at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour for $12.79. It comes with Chocolate Cookie Crumbles, Gummy Worms, and a Chocolate Tombstone. First, you get a lot of snack for your money! It’s two HUGE scoops of ice cream (you choose the flavor), so it’s easily shareable. And let’s just say…it not only looks SWEET, but it tastes pretty nice, too. It’s got a very cookies and cream-inspired flavor that just about anyone is going to love.

Also, don’t miss out on Halloween shopping in both parks and Downtown Disney. You might just find that perfect spook-tacular souvenir. That includes clothing and a Halloween Mickey bubble wand…

…new Coco apparel…

…ears, bags, accessories…

…a SWEET Haunted Mansion Holiday varsity jacket…

…a Hatbox Ghost sling bag, and more!

Other places you can find Halloween in Disneyland include the Disneyland Hotel, which will have a Haunted Mansion decor theme this year, while Pixar Place Hotel is going with a Monsters, Inc. theme for the occasion. Meanwhile, at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, the culinary team has created a MONSTROUS creation to be admired in the hotel’s lobby. Be sure to visit the snack cart there, too, for some faBOOlous treats.

Don’t forget that character dining at the hotels is also getting fall and Halloween experiences. Storytellers Cafe hosts Mickey’s Autumn Adventures for breakfast and brunch, while Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner takes over for dinner. Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween will be available at Disneyland Hotel.

If you want a Halloween glow-up, visit the Disney stylists at Tenaya Stone Spa at the Grand Californian for a special Halloween look with hair, makeup, or nails. You can even indulge in the Wicked to the Core foot treatment.

Over in Downtown Disney, you can watch some of your favorite Disney Halloween movies (like Hocus Pocus) at The Downtown Disney LIVE! stage and lawn on select nights.

Also, be sure to play Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, a scavenger hunt where you’re tasked to find character pumpkins hidden throughout Downtown Disney. All you have to do is buy a map at select stores, find the pumpkins, and turn them in for a cool prize. This year’s prize is your choice of these cute little character bags!

Like we said, Disneyland does NOT come to play when it comes to Halloween, and if you get a chance to visit for the spooky season, you should check it out.

This Is NOT A Drill! We Know All The Halloween Treats Coming To Disneyland

It’s officially Halloween season at Disneyland Resort, and that comes with quite a bit of excitement!

There are new snacks, new merchandise, and lots of exclusive entertainment options. But of course, one of the highlights of the season is a major ride overlay at Disneyland Park.

It’s official, folks — Haunted Mansion Holiday is BACK at Disneyland Park, and we are hyped! This ride overlay happens each year throughout the fall and winter, mainly the Halloween and Christmas seasons. Why so long? Because it’s themed to The Nightmare Before Christmas!

This ride gets incredibly popular during the overlay season, and the Lightning Lanes book up quickly. You may be looking at a long wait if you want to check it out. Of course, the overlay starts on the outside, so you’ll have some awesome decor to take in while you wait!

Throughout the ride, you‘ll spot characters from the film, including Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, and Oogie Boogie. Wave hello to your friends!

They’ve also updated some of the ride gags and scenes to fit with the Nightmare Before Christmas motif. In terms of holiday ride overlays, this one is particularly impressive.

Of course, one of the most iconic parts of this overlay is the gingerbread display in the ballroom scene. Each year, there’s a new gingerbread creation, and they are MASSIVE. Check out this year’s version!

This overlay typically runs through early January before the ride closes to be turned back into the regular Haunted Mansion. If you want to check it out, you have a few months to stop by!

It’s important to note, too, that this isn’t the only Halloween ride overlay at Disneyland Resort. At Disney California Adventure, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween come to life in Cars Land, and in the afternoons and evenings each day, you can ride Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark.

Oogie Boogie Bash is a special ticketed event in Disney California Adventure held on select nights from August 18th through October 31st. It’s like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party…but a little spookier, as one might expect from a party hosted by Oogie Boogie. The party features exclusive entertainment, food and drinks, character meet and greets, and more. Treat trails are set up throughout California Adventure. These are trails that you walk through to go trick-or-treating in the park, and yes, even adults can trick-or-treat during party hours. You’ll get LOADS of candy, including some full-sized treats, and you can even visit treat trails more than once if you want to REALLY stock up on candy.

But what makes Oogie Boogie Bash’s treat trails so special is that some of them have exclusive characters, including some of your favorite villains, like Agatha Harkness, Sid from Toy Story, Oogie Boogie, Yokai from Big Hero 6, and more. So let’s take a look at those treat trails first. The newest character to have a treat trail this year is Yzma — you’ll find her treat trail in Grizzly Peak.

Can’t have an Oogie Boogie Bash without Oogie Boogie, and you’ll find his treat trail at the Disney Animation building in Hollywood Land.

Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb is back again this year with a treat trail at the Disney Junior Theater in Hollywood Land.

Ernesto de la Cruz is serenading trick-or-treaters at the treat trail located just outside Avengers Campus in Hollywood Land.

Syndrome is still plotting against The Incredibles at the treat trail in Pixar Pier near Pixar Pal-Around.

You’ll find Agatha Harkness casting some dark spells over in Avengers Campus at the Sanctum.

The Mistress of Evil herself, Maleficent, is guarding a treat trail in Grizzly Peak.

Hades is lurking at a Treat Trail near Monsters, Inc.: Mike & Sulley to the Rescue.

Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit can be found near Hollywood Lounge in Hollywood Land.

Of course, other treat trails are just ALL about the candy, and you can check those out, too. Be sure to look in your guidebook or on the Disneyland app to find them all!

We’ve discovered that you can really get a LOT of candy in Disneyland if you visit the treat trails (the Cast Members are VERY generous and throw handfuls into your bag). That’s why we recommend not using the free treat bag they give you at the beginning of the party. Instead, bring a larger one from home…trust us, you’ll need it.

Oogie Boogie Bash has officially arrived at Disney California Adventure, and we’re here to experience everything!

Oogie Boogie Bash is BACK, and it goes from August 18th through October 31st, on select nights. The party is bringing eats and treats, a dessert party, exclusive character meet-and-greets, and exclusive entertainment and experiences. One experience we were really looking forward to is a brand-new street party that is at the event this year!

If you’re going to Oogie Boogie Bash this year, you’ll have the chance to check out the all-new “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party.” The party brings iconic moments from the Haunted Mansion to the streets of Disney California Adventure, like the Stretching Room!

There’s also a float dedicated to the killer bride Constance Hatchaway. This was a little scary because she’s looking at us like we’re next!

The party features multiple show-stopping moments for Madame Leota to host her spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts, ghostly dancing, and ghoulish delight. You’re invited to partake in a good time that beckons all 999 ghosts.

Something unique about this parade is that it literally stops for a dance break! So many grim-grinning ghosts were dancing in this street party.

Disney Has Revealed Details For The Dessert Party Coming to Oogie Boogie Bash!

We’re here at the very first Oogie Boogie Bash of the Halloween season at Disney California Adventure, and you can bet we’re making it our mission to do everything!

One of our favorite parts of this seasonal event is that we get to meet so many rare Disney characters. Though there’s a big difference between the meet-and-greets at this event and those at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom — there are TONS of villains to meet at Oogie Boogie Bash, and now, a new one has arrived!

When you travel on the different treat trails around the park to collect your candy, you’ll often see at least one of your favorite villains along the way. This year, there’s a new villain at Grizzly Peak you won’t want to miss. That’s right — Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove has arrived!

What a treat to see such a rare character! After showing off her potions, she lamented about pulling the wrong lever. IYKYK!

Yzma shares a treat trail with Maleficent this year, but you can also see Agatha Harkness, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Hades, Judge Doom, Syndrome, Ernesto de la Cruz, and Oogie Boogie.

Now, if you want to see tons of villain decor in one place, or just really get into the spooky vibe, we recommend heading over to Villains Grove, located at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Here, you’ll be able to experience:

The Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure officially kicks off next week, and Disney keeps dropping news that’s getting us more and more excited!

The Oogie Boogie Bash is back on August 18th, and it runs on select nights through October 31st. It’s almost here, and it’s got a lot to offer, including exclusive entertainment, eats and treats, a dessert party, and exclusive character meet-and-greets. Speaking of which, do you want to know who’s showing up to the party?

There are so many things about the Oogie Boogie Bash that get us excited, but it’s hard to top the iconic Disney characters and villains! There are so many characters that will be coming out for the spooky celebration this year, and we’re going to tell you about them.

Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas will be at the HIS party, of course. You’ll find Oogie Boogie in Hollywood Land.

Coming from the land of the dead, Ernesto de la Cruz from Pixar’s Coco will be near the Hyperion Theater.

Syndrome from Pixar’s The Incredibles and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty were a part of the party last year, and will be back for more villainous fun. Also, be on the lookout for the first-ever appearance of Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove, who will be stirring up some mischievous mayhem in Grizzly Peak.

The immersive treat trails at the party are hosted by iconic Disney villains. You’ll see all the ones we’ve listed along the treat trail, along with the following:

• Agatha Harkness in Avengers Campus
• Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb in Hollywood Land
• Hades from Hercules in Hollywood Land
• Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit in Hollywood Land

Of course, characters aren’t only a part of the immersive treat trails. You’ll also see additional characters dressed in fall attire throughout Disney California Adventure. Take a look at the list of characters you’ll be able to see around the park:

Disney also shared that select characters from Haunted Mansion will begin to materialize, as “swirling ballroom dancers, ominous gravediggers, and a trio of hitchhiking ghosts get ready for a swinging wake with silly spooks and ghoulish delight.” Where will you see them? A ton of Halloween merch just dropped at Disneyland, and it features one of the most adorable collections we’ve ever seen!

We can’t believe we’re saying this, but Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort is just around the corner, and in a way it’s already here. We recently went to Disneyland Park, and we noticed that a ton of Halloween merch is now available at the Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. You’re going to want to check this out!

Check out some of the Halloween merch that you’ll find at Disneyland this spooky season! There’s a lot to choose from, from Halloween outfits to home items to little goodies.

You know we’re suckers for Halloween tops, and this Donald Duck shirt is a must-grab in our opinion. It looks like trick-or-treating didn’t go so well.

There are a lot of different Halloween tops to grab this year.

This Disneyland Halloween Spirit Jersey was by far one of our favorite pieces of merchandise that you can grab. The back features the Disneyland logo, and a ton of spooky elements.

A close second for favorite piece was probably this Mickey Mouse Halloween Disneyland hoodie. The back features the beloved character in costume, holding a pumpkin.

This Halloween Disneyland hat would be a great addition to any outfit you put together this fall.

These Halloween Minnie Ears were added to the wishlist as soon as we saw them. With sleek black style, covered in gold bats, and a bigger bat placed behind the black bow, this ones hard to overlook.

Halloween is coming soon to Disneyland! This season brings rare characters, spooky parades, and Oogie Boogie Bash, but here at Disney Food Blog, we can’t forget the food!

Disney just announced that five brand-new Halloween eats are coming to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for 2026. Let’s dig into this menu sneak peek!

The Boogogi Beef toasted with Corn Cheese Soup will be at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland. The sandwich has bulogi-marinated beef with grilled onions, pickled radish, and kimchi aioli.

This Brown Butter Maple Cold Brew might be our new favorite drink. It’s made with Joffrey’s beignet-flavored cold brew, sweetened with maple brown butter syrup, and topped with brown butter cold foam. You can try it yourself at Harbour Galley in Disneyland!

These Matcha Mickey-shaped Waffles are filled with banana custard. You can get them at Schmoozies! at Disney California Adventure.

The Villainous Wings are tossed in a sweet-and-tangy Gochujang sauce, then drizzled with ghost pepper ranch. Find it at Smokejumpers Grill at Disney California Adventure!

Every Disneyland hosts Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour.  This is a specialty, ticketed nighttime tour that takes you through both Disneyland parks with a tour guide as you take in the themed decor and hear spooky Disney-inspired stories.

This is an incredible two-hour event that has become a staple of the Disneyland Halloween season. And we just found out that Disney Visa Cardmembers can book this special tour for 15% off!

If you are a Cardmember to take advantage of this discount, all you have to do is log into your MyDisney account on the Disneyland website or through the Disneyland app and then purchase your tickets with your Disney Visa Card.

This is a great perk for Cardmembers and an exciting way to immerse yourself in the spookiest season of the year while saving some money!

Going on a guided tour of Disneyland or Disney World is on a lot of our Disney Adult bucket lists. The tour guides are dressed in plaid and lead you through Disney with their expertise and ability to skip the lines.

Disneyland is bringing back a Halloween-themed tour, and if you’ve been wanting to do a tour, this might be the time!

Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour in Disneyland starts on August 21st, and you can start booking on July 30th, 2026. This tour takes you through Disneyland Park and California Adventure with the parks all decked out in Halloween decor.

During the two-hour guided walking tour, you get:

• Halloween history and Disney-inspired tales
• Lightning Lane entry to Haunted Mansion Holiday
• Access to the reserved viewing area for Halloween Screams, a nighttime spectacular
• A delicious treat — Happiest Haunts Dirt Worm Crispie
• A commemorative Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour Key

It costs $130 per person, not including tax, and you’ll need to have a park reservation and admission for the date of the tour. You’ll check in on Main Street, U.S.A., and each person must be there when the tour starts, and late arrivals may not be able to join the group.

Disney Visa Cardmember discounts can get 15% off when they use their Disney Visa Card and are logged into their MyDisney account. What a great way to save some money! Each tour would be around $110 with the discount.

A Lightning Lane entry for Haunted Mansion Holiday can be worth its weight in gold during the busy season. These sell out fast, and this is the easiest, busiest ride during the season.

One of Disney’s biggest events of the year is coming back this fall to California Adventure!

Oogie Boogie Bash is the most spook-tacular offering for the Halloween season at Disneyland Resort, and it’s VERY popular! In 2026, it’ll be running on select nights from August 18th through October 31st. Just a few weeks are left until the first night happens, and we just got a MAJOR teaser about a new character!

The past few years at Oogie Boogie Bash, Disney has added NEW villains to its treat trails, so that when you walk through to get your complimentary candy, you can interact with an often rare Disney character! We’ve loved some of the additions we’ve seen, like Syndrome, Mother Gothel, and even Dr. Doofenshmirtz. So who’s coming this year?

Well, Disney just posted a teaser on Instagram, and based on the video, it looks like we’re FINALLY going to see Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove!

The video shows pink potions brewing. Perhaps the poison…the poison for Kuzco? The poison chosen specifically to kill Kuzco? Kuzco’s poison? Yeah, that looks about right. The video ends with a purple feather falling down to the tray, a feather that looks suspiciously like the ones Yzma wears. We’re pretty confident on this one, folks!

This would not be the first-ever appearance of Yzma in the Disney parks, but it’s exceedingly rare. We’re talking specialty events or runDisney races for the most part. This is a character whom dedicated Disney fans love and based on the hype in Disney’s comments, are VERY excited to see in California Adventure.
