REVIEW: Okay Disney, We’re Going to Need More Lemon + Chocolate Treats STAT

14 February 2026 at 16:22

Did you know a popular restaurant is celebrating a big anniversary at the Disneyland Resort?!

Naples new anniversary drink!

There are so many places to dine at Disneyland, but with the two popular parks, Downtown Disney tends to fall under the radar. Well, we’re telling you it’s time to stop sleeping on the Disney shopping and dining district. Naples Ristorante E Bar at Downtown Disney is celebrating its 25th Anniversary, and a new limited-time drink just dropped for it!

Naples Ristorante E Bar is a Southern Italian restaurant located in the Downtown Disney District. The dining spot serves classic Italian dishes, as well as wines and other specialty drinks. It’s one of our favorite stops at Downtown Disney!

Naples Ristorante E Bar

The restaurant features plenty of seating with an indoor portion attached to a visible kitchen, an upstairs area, and a pretty sizable outdoor patio area.

Naples Ristorante

As we mentioned, the restaurant is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. For its milestone anniversary, the restaurant released a brand-new drink called Choco Cello. The drink comes with Vodka, Limoncello, Chocolate Liqueur, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, and Fee Foam. It’s topped with a white chocolate decorated 25 bar and gold glitter. You can get the drink for $19 — which we did!

Choco Cello

When we took that first sip, the drink was more lemon-forward than chocolate. We actually didn’t taste chocolate at all! Once we had more of the drink, we tasted a hint of the chocolate liquor. This drink is VERY sour and sweet, and is on par with a standard Limoncello. It’s refreshing and has a great pour of vodka!

Here’s the new drink!

If you like Limoncello, you’ll love this drink. We loved the gold glitter, and it’s definitely a pretty drink and photo-worthy! The chocolate flavor doesn’t distract from the drink at all, but could use a little more, in our opinion. We think it’s a solid, fun drink and we’d give it a 4/5.

You need to try this!

We were told the drink will only be available for about two more months, so don’t wait to grab this if you’re at Disneyland! Make sure to follow us at the Disney Food Blog so you can get more food and drink reviews — we love trying anything and everything at the Disney Parks!

This Disney Park Expansion Is Already Blowing Our Minds

Disneyland is assembling the Avengers of Cast Members for this project!

Avengers Campus

Avengers Campus opened in Disney California Adventure back in 2021. The Marvel-themed land has unique attractionsdining, and entertainment, with even more exciting things coming when Disney announced plans to expand Avengers Campus! We’ve been keeping up with the construction of the project, and we have some more to show you.

Some major progress is taking place at Avengers Campus right now. As you can see, the framework of one of the buildings is slowly but surely coming together!

Construction at Avengers Campus!

Last year, Disney was putting up the first vertical beam, and now they have this much done! They’ve come a long way so far. When the new area is complete, it will double the size of Avengers Campus and bring two new attractions — Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab — to the superhero-themed land.

Look how much they’ve done!

There are walls up around Avengers Campus, which sometimes does take away from the full experience, but so does looking at construction. Disney does the best they can at hiding the work they’re doing while maintaining that immersive feeling of being in a land, and they do a pretty good job!

Walls are up at Avengers Campus!

Something cool that we found out during this construction period is that Cast Members backstage got to sign a steel beam that will become a part of the expanded Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. It was posted by @disneylandresortpresident and @disneylandcastandcommunity on Instagram.

@disneylandcastandcommunity via Instagram

They said in the caption, “Cast Members left their mark on a project that will double the size of the land and bring more adventures to life. But what stood out most was the excitement and pride everyone brought to something that represents our future.” It’s such a cool opportunity that Disney allows these Cast Members who are hard at work to leave a mark on an attraction that will last forever.

Disney recently did the same thing with Cast Members for the Pueblo Esperanza construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

@disneylandcastandcommunity via Instagram

We seriously can’t wait for the new attractions to come to the park! Disney has described Avengers: Infinity Defense as, “Technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere. Recruits will travel to iconic locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City alongside the likes of big and small heroes. You also just might find yourself face-to-face with King Thanos, too.”

Avengers: Infinity Defense will have guests join in battle across the multiverse alongside the Avengers to defeat King Thanos and recover stolen Stark technology.

As for the Stark Flight Lab attraction, Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark, and guests will “sit in two-person pods and deploy to a test station. Then a robot arm grabs your pod and starts whirling you around in a simulated flight.”

Stark Flight Lab will train guests to fly using new flight technology from Tony Stark’s workshop. ©Disney

There hasn’t been an announcement as to when the opening date for the expansion will be. We’ll be keeping a close eye out for any updates, and we’ll continue to follow along with the construction progress. Make sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news so you don’t miss anything from around the parks!

MAJOR NEWS! A Disneyland Attraction Is Changing Tomorrow

12 February 2026 at 15:59

Disneyland is celebrating its 70th anniversary, and as part of that celebration, Disney Imagineers brought a Walt Disney animatronic figure to life for the first time ever. Right now, Disneyland visitors can see this new animatronic as part of the Walt Disney — A Magical Life show at the Main Street Opera House that previously hosted Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.

Walt Disney — A Magical Life

Now, Disney made it clear that the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln show wasn’t going away, and that the new show would eventually rotate with the old show. Well, now, we know when that’s going to happen…and it’s WAY sooner than we think. In fact, the two shows will be rotating as of tomorrow.

Beginning tomorrow, February 13th, Walt Disney — A Magical Life and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will rotate shows throughout the day so visitors have a chance to see both. According to the Disneyland calendar, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will show from park opening until 1:30 PM. Meanwhile, Walt Disney — A Magical Life will be showing from 2 PM to 8 PM.

Walt Disney – A Magical Life

That means that Disney will spend about 30 minutes switching out the shows every day (and honestly, that seems FAST). But the good news is that the classic Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will be returning to the park. This version of the attraction originally debuted at the 1964 World’s Fair and was moved to Disneyland in 1965. So it’s also part of Disney history. I highly recommend checking it out!

“Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln”

The Walt Disney animatronic is also pretty cool to see, so if you can make time for both, I also highly recommend that, too. If you don’t have a chance to see it in Disneyland, though, Disney has plans to bring the Walt animatronic to Disney World’s Carousel of Progress.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for other big changes in Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

This Permit Reveals Huge Disneyland Expansion Project NEWS

12 February 2026 at 13:11

Disney World isn’t the only resort in the U.S. getting some serious updates. Disneyland is also about to get some new things, including an Avengers Campus expansion with two rides, a new Avatar-themed land, and a new Coco ride. Well, those things are going to bring in a LOT more people, but there’s a problem…where are all those folks going to park?

©Disney

Well, last year, Disney announced it had plans to build a new parking and transportation hub that would take care of that problem. Now, we’re starting to see movement on that project. According to ThemeParkIQ on X, Disneyland just filed a permit for work on the new parking and transportation hub’s site.

Disneyland just filed a permit to demolish a 70,732 sq. ft. office building, leaving behind only the foundation. The building is what is currently the Manchester Cast Member parking lot. This is all part of the new parking structure that will be part of a huge transportation hub on the east side of the resort.

Current parking garage at Disneyland

The new parking structure and transportation hub will add about 6,000 new parking spaces to the area, as well as new shuttle and rideshare areas, new security screening areas, and dedicated access for traffic off of Disney Way. The concept art also includes a pedestrian bridge to be built over Harbor Boulevard.

Parking at Disneyland

It’s unclear if any of the current construction will affect those visiting the park, but we’ll keep an eye out for updates to keep YOU updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

We Finally Have A Reopening Date for This Popular Disney Ride…And It’s SOONER Than You Think!

12 February 2026 at 11:44

It’s never fun when you visit Disneyland only to discover that your favorite ride is closed. That’s why we try to do our best to keep you updated on any ride closures we come across (and usually, Disney DOES give a little notice).

Stormtroopers in Rise of the Resistance

It’s definitely not fun when you’re a huge Star Wars fan, and you make your way to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to discover Rise of the Resistance is closed, as it has been since January 20th. However, we’ve got some good news: Rise of the Resistance will reopen soon…as in TOMORROW.

Rise of the Resistance closed for refurbishment in January, but the Disney World website is now showing hours for the ride as of tomorrow. So if you’ve been worried about missing out on this super popular ride, you’ll be able to ride it again VERY soon.

©Disney

This ride is notorious for temporary closures throughout the day, so regular maintenance and refurbishment are necessary to keep it running as smoothly as possible. It does use some of Disney’s most advanced technology, which means that the ride needs a lot of love to keep it running so that everyone can ride it.

Rise of the Resistance

If you do want to ride Rise of the Resistance, though, we recommend you consider rope dropping it, or better yet, get a Lightning Lane Single Pass to skip what is often a long standby line for the shorter Lightning Lane. However, if you’re visiting Disneyland during one of its After Dark events, the ride is often a walk-on, so take advantage of that when you can.

Rise of the Resistance

We’ll keep an eye out for more ride closures and openings in Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

REVIEW: It’s Official. This Might Be Our New FAVORITE Treat from This Disney Snack Spot

10 February 2026 at 09:07

We’re back at Disneyland Resort with another snack review — so you know what’s worth your time and money on your next visit!

Schmoozies!

We recently stopped by Schmoozies! in Disney California Adventure’s Hollywood Land to try a NEW treat, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth? Find out here!

Schmoozies! is home to specialty coffee drinks, tea, and smoothies on the list. But “Extreme Refreshers” like seasonal lemonades and over-the-top, spectacular shakes are served along with tasty donuts featuring flavors that rotate with the seasons! We stopped by to try the new Cake Shake, and boy, are we glad we did. You can grab this treat for $13.79, which might sound like a lot — but it comes with a whole slice of cake on top!

Cake Shake

This was our reporter’s favorite shake from Schmoozies yet! It’s basically a vanilla shake and a massive vanilla cake slice. The sprinkles make it taste like a funfetti shake, which was such a fun detail. All in all, it was a simple shake that’s not overly sweet, and the cake slice makes this a massive shareable dessert!

One thing to note, though, is that you might want to eat the cake slice pretty quickly, otherwise it will disintegrate into the shake — which actually doesn’t sound that bad, now that we’re thinking about it! If you’ve ever had a Cake Shake from Portillo’s, this is kind of similar to that.

A whole slice of cake!

In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant and snack updates from Disneyland and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!

You May Want to Avoid Disneyland on These 46 Dates in 2026

10 February 2026 at 09:00

Is there a time we absolutely refuse to visit Disneyland? NEVER. With that said…some days are better than others.

Sleeping Beauty Castle!

Guests visiting Disneyland in 2026 are in for a real treat with special celebrations, enhanced rides, and an unforgettable experience. With that said, if your main goal is to avoid crowds or catch the resort when it’s offering lower wait times, these are the dates you’ll want to stay away from Disneyland in 2026…

March/April

Disneyland is primarily for the kids, and the kids come in DROVES in late March and early April.

Disneyland crowds

Spring Break season is March 28th through April 11th, 2026, and Easter is April 5th. With kids out of school, expect the parks to be surprisingly packed midweek during these spring months.

May/June

Memorial Day Weekend isn’t as busy as other major holidays, but don’t be surprised to see families pack the parks for the long weekend!

Crowds

This year, Memorial Day Weekend is May 22nd through May 25th, 2026.

Crowds

You’ll also want to avoid Disney Grad Nites. While they take over Disney California Adventure at night, teens get to the parks much earlier and cause wait times to skyrocket AT BOTH PARKS. Unfortunately, because they are teenagers, mischief can also be afoot.

©Disney

If you’re not too keen on sharing the parks with busloads of teenagers, avoid the Disneyland Resort on May 8th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 20th, 21st, 28th, 29th, and 31st — and June 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, and 12th.

July

Summer is always annoyingly busy at Disneyland with school out, but the busiest days could wind up being around Independence Day.

Together Forever

With this year’s festivities getting a heightened sense of importance thanks to the country’s 250th birthday, expect Disneyland to be packed on July 3rd through July 5th.

August

August will wind up being one of the busiest months of the year at Disneyland. For starters, Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration ends on August 9thso it’s fair to assume a bunch of folks will rush to the resort in the final days to get one final experience with all of the celebration’s offerings.

Disneyland Train Station

Shortly after, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is returning to Anaheim, and the Disneyland Resort between August 13th and August 16th, and this WILL bring in fans from all over the world.

©D23

When they’re not watching panels at the Honda Center or exploring booths and exhibits at the Anaheim Convention Center, expo attendees of the most popular Disney fan event of the year will be found flocking to the Disneyland Resort.

October

In October, Halloween Time takes over the Disneyland Resort, and attendance usually stays consistently busy.

Halloween in Disneyland

Halloween, especially, is a very popular date to be in the parks.

December

The holiday season is so busy at Disneyland that even the highest-paying Magic Key Members are blocked out from entry during this time!

Christmas at Disneyland

Mid-December through New Year’s is an incredibly busy time at Disneyland. Magical, festive, and worth the visit? Yes. Crowded beyond belief? Also yes. You may want to specifically avoid December 24th, 25th, and 31st if you’re trying to avoid the biggest crowds…

A Rare Parade Has Returned to Disneyland!

9 February 2026 at 16:38

Something BIG just happened in Disneyland…and we got to be there for it!

The Super Bowl Parade!

Now, there are some big things already happening in Disneyland, including some expansions, a new land, and a new ride. But today was the day of a rare parade. Yep, today was the annual Disney Super Bowl parade, complete with celebrities and everything!

Disneyland is crowded today with football fans because last night the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots in the 2026 Super Bowl in San Francisco. Following in true Disney tradition (aka the “I’m going to Disneyland! commercial), the Super Bowl parade made its way down Main Street, U.S.A.

Let the parade begin!

Ahead of the players, the band marched by…

The band!

…the cheerleaders hyped up the crowd…

Hi friends!

… and some familiar Disney faces led the way!

Our Disney friends!

The annual Super Bowl parade happens in either Disney World or Disneyland every year, with the location decided by the host city. With the host city being San Francisco this year, it only made sense to have the parade and celebration in Disneyland. This year, the parade featured Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III and Quarterback Sam Darnold.

There they are!

The parade began at 1:15 PM today, February 9th, and made its way through Disneyland’s parade route through Main Street, U.S.A. The tradition of Super Bowl champs saying they were going to Disney World or Disneyland dates back to 1987 with New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms.

How cool is this?!

This year, they also streamed the parade live! ESPN broadcast live from Main Street, U.S.A., and it included First Take with Stephen A. Smith, editions of SportsCenter, NFL Live, and a live interview with  Sam Darnold.

The stage was set up before the festivities began!

You can see him walking to his interview after the parade here. Look at those crowds!

Hey, Sam!

We love getting to experience this fun and unique experience once a year in Disney World or Disneyland. Congratulations to the Seahawks on their big victory.

We’ll be covering even more news from Disneyland and Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

An Exclusive Downtown Disney Discount Just Dropped (And You’re Gonna Love It!)

8 February 2026 at 10:17

Have you ever fancied yourself as a bartender, or just wanted to learn how to make some of your favorite Disney drinks? Well, a mixology class could teach you how to do JUST that, and doesn’t that sound like a lot of fun?

Cheers!

If you said, “yes,” you can now take mixology classes at Downtown Disney in Disneyland. In fact, there are mixology classes EVERY month. They’re not free, but if you want to save some money on a mixology class, D23 has got you covered.

So here are all the details. You can join the “Parkside Birder Club” at Vista Parkside Market and learn some pretty sweet tips and tricks from bartenders. You can even choose Vista’s next cocktail of the month. If you’re a D23 member (and just a general member, which means even those with free memberships count), you can get $10 off the class!

Parkside Market

So here’s what you’ll do during the class. Bartenders will give you three cocktails to try. You’ll taste them and then pick your favorite. Then the bartenders will teach you how to make the drink with the most votes. That drink will then become the cocktail of the month during the following month. SO FUN. Oh, and at the end of the year, the most popular cocktail becomes a permanent menu item.

You could help create the cocktail of the month!

Mixology classes are $119.22, but D23 members can get $10 off that, so that’s roughly $110.22 per person. The class includes three tasting cocktails, ingredients for making the winning cocktail, a $20 Vista Parkside gift card, a Parkside Birders pin, a take-home tiki glass, and one Parkside Market Coffee and light brunch bites.

Coffee at Parkside Market

If you’re not a D23 member, you can sign up for general membership for free by visiting the D23 website. Then you’ll just use the promo code provided by D23 to get the $10 discount on the class, which you can book here. Happy cocktail-making!

We’ll keep an eye out for more discounts in Disney World and Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

4 Game Changing Announcements for 2026 runDisney Races

7 February 2026 at 14:59

Here at Disney Food Blog, we love runDisney events. When else can you run a marathon in the happiest place on earth? With five amazing races every year, runDisney keeps us hooked.

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2022

The runDisney races have changed a lot this year, and for a good reason. They’ve surged in popularity to where last year’s races sold out within seconds of registration opening. Here’s every game-changing announcement for runDisney in 2026!

Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

The most noticeable difference for this year is the 5K registration. The 5K race is the most popular, since it’s the shortest and most accessible race. Its popularity meant that it would sell out fast. Last year, only one of our team members was able to register since tickets sold out within minutes of registration opening.

©runDisney

Thankfully, this year’s runDisney events aim to fix that – there’s more 5K availability plus staggered start times (no more waking up at 3 AM!). It’s a game-changer for casual runDisney runners.

©runDisney

Another game-changer is more characters. runDisney events are known for having rare characters on the marathon course. With the race’s surge in popularity, many runners online have complained that slower-paced participants aren’t able to meet characters due to long lines. At this year’s January marathon, characters included Space Cadet Donald, Sherlock Goofy, and rare Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Ortensia.

Oswald at Disneyland

Another great upgrade this year is the themes. Previous races have had many themes with our favorite characters and movies, but they haven’t been cohesive for every marathon weekend until this year. The 2026 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend this fall has each separate race hosted by a character from an EPCOT country.

©Disney

The 5K is The Aristocats from France, the 10K is the Mexico Pavilion’s Three Caballeros, the Half Marathon is hosted by Mary Poppins from the UK, and the Wine & Dine Challenge is held by dwarf Grumpy who resides in the Germany Pavilion. The themes quickly went viral, and we’re sure Disney will do it again for future marathons.

It’s Grumpy!

Another game-changer is runDisney’s newest merch collab. runDisney recently partnered with Brooks running shoes for a whole Disney-inspired collection. These shoes have some of our favorite characters like Mickey Mouse, Chip and Dale, and Stitch, so we can race anywhere in Disney style. They even made an exclusive Disneyland shoe for the 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend last week to celebrate Disneyland’s 70th anniversary!

We’re so glad Disney has made some changes to make our next runDisney race even better. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for the latest runDisney news!

This RARE Disney Character Has a Brand-New Meet and Greet

6 February 2026 at 15:05

This is a big year for Disney California Adventure! The second park in Anaheim is celebrating its 25th anniversary, which means lots of fun is on the horizon.

(Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort)

Any time a Disney park has something to celebrate, they don’t hold back! From a new popcorn bucket to limited-time treats, there are several new things to try. Another new thing on the horizon is a meet and greet featuring a Disney character making his debut!

A classic Disney character has made his debut in Disneyland! If you haven’t heard the name Humphrey the Bear, we would bet you’ve seen him. Humphrey the Bear made his debut in 1950 and has since been seen as a character throughout several Disney hotels and a theme park or two.

©D23

Now, you can actually meet Humphrey at Storytellers Cafe! This character dining restaurant is located at Disney’s Grand California Resort. The big bear will be one of the characters you can meet during Donald’s Tales of Adventure dinner buffet! At dinner, you can find a “bountiful California folklore buffet.”

(Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort)

If you want to dine with Humphrey and his pals, you can book advanced dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. This spot is fairly popular, so if it’s on your bucket list, don’t wait! Not only is Humphrey featured in several Disney shorts, but he also has his own store called Humphrey’s Service & Supplies at Disney California Adventure. He’s also the unofficial mascot at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!

Humphrey the Bear at the bottom of the totem pole!

Not only is he at the resorts, but you can also spot him in Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom! He’s everywhere if you just know where to look. Disney hasn’t shared if this new meet and greet at Storytellers Cafe is for a limited time or of he will stick around for a while!

Humphrey in Fantasyland!

We love that this classic character, who is normally just around for decoration, is now available for guests to meet! The celebrations for California Adventure’s anniversary also include Mickey and Minnie in all-new, vibrant outfits, a new Cake Shake at Schmoozies, the new popcorn bucket, new merchandise, and more. Be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news, updates, and more!

WARNING: This NEW Disney Popcorn Bucket Might Be the Most POPULAR Souvenir We’ll See All Year

6 February 2026 at 13:20

Disney popcorn buckets have officially gone off the rails again…and this one is iconic!

It’s HERE!

A brand-new Pixar Pal-A-Round popcorn bucket has just debuted at Disney, and it might be one of the most perfect popcorn bucket souvenirs we’ve seen yet! If you love collectible park merch, this is one you’re going to want to see.

Disney popcorn buckets have officially entered their “We’re making literally everything into a collectible” era…and honestly, we’re not mad about it! And their newest one might be one of the most perfect Disney California Adventure souvenirs yet.

Disney California Adventure

Disney has just released a brand-new Pixar Pal-A-Round popcorn bucket, inspired by the iconic Ferris wheel that towers over Pixar Pier. If you’ve ever walked through Disney California Adventure and immediately spotted that giant Mickey-faced wheel in the distance, you already know exactly why this is such a fun choice for a bucket design.

A closer look

First things first, though, you’re going to want to place your mobile order for this popcorn bucket early! Even with a super early pick up, we experienced quite the line when it came our turn to grab our own.

The line at the cart

This little guy will cost you $55, and we picked ours up at the outdoor vending cart in Grizzly Peak. Yes, it comes with popcorn as well as a limit of 2 per person, per transaction. The bucket is shaped like the Pixar Pal-A-Round itself, complete with colorful gondola details and that unmistakable look of the real attraction. It’s basically a mini version of one of DCA’s most recognizable landmarks, except this one comes filled with popcorn instead of mild terror if you’re brave enough to ride the swinging cars!

Little swinging gondolas

As with most of Disney’s specialty buckets, the appeal here is all in the details. It’s bright, playful, instantly Pixar Pier-coded, and feels like the kind of souvenir that’s both a functional snack holder and something you’ll want to display once you get home. It’s also a perfect pick-up for Pixar fans or anyone who loves collecting the more unique park merch that you can’t just order online later.

The back of the bucket opens up

There’s even a tag explaining how the bucket interacts inside Disney’s parks AND at home including changing lights.

Tag on the bucket

And let’s be real: Disney popcorn buckets have become their own category of must-have park item. They’re part snack, part accessory, part conversation starter, and this one is definitely going to turn heads as you walk around the park!

This is probably the CUTEST purchase of 2026!! 🥹✨ pic.twitter.com/f4FdUN3j6L

If you’re visiting Disney California Adventure soon, keep an eye out, because this Pixar Pal-A-Round bucket feels like it’s going to be one of those souvenirs that disappear quickly once people realize it exists. Stay tuned with us right here at DFB for even more Disney news, updates, and strategies to help you have the best vacation yet!

Foolish Mortals Can Now Tie The Knot In Front of Disney’s Haunted Mansion

6 February 2026 at 12:27

If you’ve ever dreamed of a Disney wedding, there are a lot of ways to plan one. You can have a wedding at Disney World, complete with photos in front of Cinderella Castle, or you can get married on Disney Cruise Line on the ship or at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.

©Disney

You can also get married in Disneyland at the hotels, at Fantasyland Faire, at Sleeping Beauty Castle, and more. Now, though, a NEW location has been added as a wedding venue for Disneyland…and if you love all things Haunted Mansion, this could be your dream wedding. Yes, you can now get married in front of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion.

Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings recently announced that couples will soon be able to get married in front of the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland beginning in July 2026. This will be the first time the Haunted Mansion Courtyard has been added to Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons as a wedding venue.

©Disney

Of course, if you do choose the Haunted Mansion as your wedding venue, you will have to do it early in the morning before the park opens. The courtyard can also accommodate up to 25 guests, and the package will include an officiant, light decor, photography, and transportation to and from a Disneyland hotel. Let’s just say this would be worth it to get up super early to get the MONEY shot of you and your spouse-to-be in front of an ICONIC Disneyland location.

Haunted Mansion

To make final arrangements, you’ll want to visit DisneyWeddings.com for more information and to get details on how to book a frightful ‘Til Death Do You Part’ ceremony. Remember, there’s always room for one (or in this case two) more.

We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Space Mountain and Two MORE Rides Are Closing Soon in Disneyland

5 February 2026 at 11:42

Winter is an interesting time to visit Disneyland. On the one hand, this time of year brings the Lunar New Year Celebration to Disney California Adventure, which is always a lot of fun (and the food is GREAT, too!). The weather isn’t bad (it’s usually not too hot and not too cold). But there is one downside of visiting Disneyland this time of year…refurbishments.

Space Mountain in Disneyland

Ride refurbishments and maintenance have to happen to keep rides running, and generally, a lot of it happens in the early part of the year. Well, one ride will close soon in Disneyland, while two rides in California Adventure are set to close soon for refurbishment, but the good news is that they’ll only be closed for a short time.

Okay, let’s start in Disneyland. Space Mountain (the superior Space Mountain, in my opinion) is set to close on February 23rd, according to the Disneyland calendar. However, it will be a short closure, and the ride will reopen on February 27th. So it’s only going to be closed for a few days. Not bad at all!

Space Mountain Lightning Lane

Over in California Adventure, Jumpin’ Jellyfish is scheduled to close on February 23rd for a short while. It will reopen on March 6th.

©Disney

Nearby, Golden Zephyr is scheduled to close on March 9th for a short refurbishment, with its reopening scheduled for March 18th.

©Disney

We would also like to remind you of the Jungle Cruise closure that’s coming up soon, too. Jungle Cruise will close on February 17th and reopene on February 22nd.

Granted, we only know what the Disneyland calendar is showing us, so these rides could reopen earlier or later than what’s currently scheduled. We highly recommend checking the Disneyland website or Disneyland app to see what days and hours rides are open.

We’ll keep an eye out for more ride closures, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

REVIEW: 3 Snacks We’re Begging You to Try at Disney

4 February 2026 at 15:38

Disneyland is celebrating a LOT of things right now, including its 70th Anniversary, with a celebration that will last through August 9th. However, February also brings about Celebrate Soulfully, as well as Valentine’s Day.

Valentine-themed Alien Macaron

These celebrations mean one BIG thing: new treats throughout the resort! Now, we’ve already tried our share of 70th Anniversary treats, so now we’re trying a new Celebrate Soulfully snack (well, more like a meal) and some new Valentine’s Day offerings. So come with us as we taste our way through Disneyland’s new limited-time treats.

Let’s start with the Celebrate Soulfully snack. Celebrate Soulfully is a celebration that honors Black heritage and culture, including food. As part of that celebration this year, you can order the French Quarter Fried Chicken Bowl at Tiana’s Palace. For $17.99, you get a bowl with spicy honey-glazed fried chicken served with baked macaroni and cheese and collard greens. And trust us…you’ll want to get this bowl. It’s a full meal with juicy breaded chicken and a wonderfully sweet and spicy glaze. There is a mild heat to that spiciness, but it’s more on the line of Disney spicy.

French Quarter Fried Chicken Bowl

The macaroni and cheese also has a ton of cheesy flavor. In fact, the cheese-to-macaroni ratio is a little off (it needs more macaroni). The collard greens also add a balanced flavor to the mix. It’s hearty, so don’t order it unless you’re hungry.

Super tender chicken

Okay, on to the Valentine’s Day treats, starting at The Tropical Hideaway. The DOLE Whip Strawberry Sundae is made with DOLE Whip, fresh diced strawberries, shortcake, and strawberry drizzle for $9.29. First, pucker up, because this sundae was TART. There’s probably a little TOO much of the strawberry drizzle, and we weren’t big fans of it because it tasted artificial, but we think if you’re a strawberry jelly fan, you’ll like it.

DOLE Whip Strawberry Sundae

The strawberry shortcake on top added a nice texture to the creamy DOLE Whip. With that being said, though, this isn’t our favorite DOLE Whip sundae, but we think it’s still pretty pleasing.

Loved the addition of shortcake

Finally, the Valentine-themed Alien Macaron has landed at Alien Pizza Planet for $8.79. It’s green alien heart eyes macaron shells filled with vanilla buttercream and berry chesecake with a pink chocolate-dipped antenna. Of all the macarons we’ve had at Pizza Planet, this is our favorite. The berry cheesecake and vanilla filling go so well together with the crunchy macaron.

It’s so cute!

You’ve got the tartness of the berry, but it’s balanced by the cheesecake and buttercream. We’ll also say that of these three new snacks, this is our favorite, and we have plans to go back and order it again.

Delicious filling

So there you have it, the three new limited-time snacks you need to order in Disneyland. We’ll keep getting you all the Disney food reviews, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

FULL TOUR of Disney’s Newly Revamped Napa Rose Restaurant

4 February 2026 at 11:21

Eek! Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in Disneyland is reopening February 6th after a major refurbishment, and we finally get to check out all the details inside.

Napa Rose bar

Reservations are available now for the opening, but we were able to get a sneak peek inside to see the renovations. Let’s just say: STUNNING!

Right when we walked in, we were blown away. With the renovation, they wanted to make the area more cozy, and that’s definitely how we felt when we came in. I feel like I can bundle up with a good book and a glass of wine.

Napa Rose

The restaurant is themed around California’s wine-making history with natural textiles, French Oak flooring, and columns. You’ll also see artisan metal, as well as leather, and deep red cabernet tones.

Inspired by California’s history of wine making

There’s also a gorgeous chandelier that is also themed around California wine-making.

Chandelier

There’s a whole new bar for quick bites and a drink. It’s perfect for stopping in to catch up with an old friend or a relaxing space to hang out with your partner. For the bar and lounge, reservations are not required, and walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability.

Napa Rose bar

The main dining room will have a prix fixe menu with options to add custom wine pairings to the multi-course meal. They completely redid the children’s menu, and the whole space is so welcoming. We love the intimate seating options all surrounded by the restaurant’s 1,500-label wine collection.

So many wines!

For a night to remember, you can enjoy the Chef’s Counter, which offers up to 18 guests the chance to sit and dine in direct view of the kitchen. The Napa Rose chefs will personalize each course of your meal, based on seasonality and creativity. You can book online at NapaRose.com.

Chef’s counter and kitchen

There’s also a private dining room which sits up to 16 guests. If you want to book the private dining room, you’ll need to contact the restaurant directly.

Private dining room

There will also be a space for outdoor dining with a large fireplace where you can enjoy your meal in the stunning California weather. Reservations are highly recommended for the main dining room and outdoor terrace.

We’re so excited to finally have Napa Rose back open, and we’re ready to dive in. Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more Disney restaurant and food news.
