REVIEW: This Disney Dessert Is Covered in Blood and Comes With a Knife …And We Love It

6 September 2026 at 11:23

Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort has so many places to eat that it’s easy to pass by some hidden gems, but that’s what we’re here for!

Naples Ristorante E Bar

We recently stopped by Naples Ristorante E Bar at the Downtown Disney District because we heard of a new treat for spooky season. Is this something worth going out of your way for this fall? Well, there’s only one way to find out!

If you head to Naples Ristorante E Bar, you can grab the Pumpkin Blood-Scotch Cannoli for $12. The cannoli is filled with pumpkin and butterscotch chip cream, topped with whipped cream, red caramel drizzle, and a sugar knife.

Pumpkin Blood-Scotch Cannoli

This treat is very pumpkin-forward and very crispy. It should be eaten with your hands, but the drizzle prevents that. The dough is butterscotch-infused and has a coffee-like flavor about it. The cream is light and fluffy, and we feel like the butterscotch and pumpkin each take turns being the star.

Pumpkin Blood-Scotch Cannoli

The chips add a surprising crunch on the inside. The whipped cream is light with hints of those “fall” tones, but the drizzle is not nearly as subtle. It’s a red caramel, and it’s sweet. It can be overpowering at times, and we think pulling back just a tad might’ve made this even better.

Pumpkin Blood-Scotch Cannoli

The sugar knife is just sugar-tasting and the definition of inoffensive. It’s sweet yet bland, but it’ll get covered in everything else anyway

Look at the sugar knife!

We don’t think kids will like this, but fans of fall flavors like butterscotch and pumpkin should be appeased by this. We think it’s reliably solid, and the fact that you get two makes this a fair value. It is really messy to eat, so we would be aware of that.

This was good!

REVIEW: Is This New Disney Snack Even Better Than We Imagined?

21 July 2026 at 15:29

Looking for the perfect summer treat at Disneyland? We may have found it!

Hoa Aloha Float

There’s nothing we like more than walking around Disney, looking for new eats and treats to try. We recently went to Disneyland Park and tried a brand-new DOLE Whip. Let’s just say, this may have been the first time we’ve had it this summer, but it definitely won’t be our last!

Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

If you’re looking for a tasty summer treat, head over to The Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland at Disneyland Park. There you’ll find the HOA Aloha Float for $9.99.

Let’s try the HOA Aloha Float

This is a Pineapple DOLE Whip with cucumber-lime agua fresca, chamoy, and candied kiwi. It was presented in a way that looked both cute and delicious.

Hoa Aloha Float

This exceeded all of our expectations! Starting with the candied kiwi, it was like a candied dry fruit texture. We honestly didn’t really taste the traditional kiwi flavor. It was just more like a candied flavor, which might be a win for some and a loss for others. The cucumber-lime agua fresca was very refreshing and so flavorful with the DOLE whip! The chamoy is an added flavor profile that really brings the flavors together. We seriously couldn’t recommend this enough, and think this is the Disneyland treat of the summer. We’re giving this a confident 5/5. This snack might be too much for those who love simple flavors, but it was perfect for us.

This was amazing!

REVIEW: Disneyland Just CHANGED an Iconic Disney Treat

7 July 2026 at 14:50

The Fourth of July celebration was a big one this year, as America celebrated its 250th anniversary! We’re sure it was an amazing celebration wherever you were, but there was something special about being at Disneyland Resort.

250th Celebration Dipped Mickey Bar

Everyone loves a classic Mickey Bar when at the Disney Parks. It’s one of, if not THE, most iconic snacks at Disney. Well, Disneyland completely changed the beloved Disney treat for July 4th, and we couldn’t pass up on it. Does this hold up to the icon that the Mickey Bar is? We got thoughts for you!

We recently went to Disney California Adventure for the 250th celebration, and we spotted a brand-new patriotic version of the Mickey Bar. It’s called the 250th Celebration Dipped Mickey Bar, and it’s available for $7.99. We grabbed ours at Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream.

New Mickey Bar!

The treat is your classic Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar. However, this one has half of it dipped in white chocolate and coated with red, white, and blue sprinkles.

250th Celebration Dipped Mickey Bar

We have absolutely nothing bad to say about a white chocolate and milk chocolate dipped Mickey bar! Of course, you’d look at it and think this is bound to be delicious, and that is correct. We love the white chocolate on this Mickey Bar. It’s a great addition that we honestly wish could be a full-time thing.

This is delicious!

It’s super sweet and refreshing on a hot summer day in California. Add in those crunchy festive sprinkles, and you undoubtedly have yourself a delicious sweet treat in the parks. You get a lot for the cost of the treat, too. It’s great value (which isn’t something we say about a lot of treats), and it’s definitely worth the price with the addition of the white chocolate and sprinkles. This is a perfect 5/5, making an already beloved sweet treat even BETTER! It’s not a huge change, but it is a good one for a limited time.

We wish this was here forever!

REVIEW: This Gelato Tastes Like DOLE Whip in Disney, and Life Could Not Be Better

20 June 2026 at 10:06

If you’ve got a trip planned to come to the Disneyland Resort this summer, you’re probably trying to figure out where the best spot to get a frozen treat is!

Happy Ice!

Well, a brand-new snack stand just opened at Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort, and this might be the spot to cool you down this summer. We had to check out this new stand, and we’re bringing you our full review. Is this worth going out of your way for? Let’s find out!

The new snack spot at Downtown Disney is called Happy Ice. The brand sells Italian ice, and it’s known for its fruity flavors and frozen desserts. Did you know that this is the first permanent Black-owned dessert company in the shopping and dining district at Disneyland Resort?!

Happy Ice!

They had so many flavors to choose from! We’re warning you, you might stand there for a while trying to figure out which flavor is speaking to you.

So many flavors!

We ended up getting two frozen treats, starting with the Time Machine for $12.00. The treats do come in different sizes, and we ended up going with a large.

Time Machine

This tasted like an elevated DOLE Whip! It’s so incredibly refreshing and tasty. The texture is like a smooth gelato with a slight crunch like shaved ice and a tang like a sorbet. It’s popular for a reason, and the flavors just go so well together.

This is delicious!

You can taste each of the flavors separately, yet altogether, if that makes sense!? A large is deceivingly huge and a perfect shareable size…or you can keep it all to yourself! We’re giving this a perfect 5/5, and we would definitely get this flavor again!

This was amazing!

The other flavor we got was the Rainbow Gelati for $15, also in a large. This one had a scoop of Joy-Lati, which is the ice cream you can get on top of any of their flavors. Rainbow is their signature flavor because it has all their fruit flavors in one!

Rainbow Gelati

It’s absolutely delicious and refreshing! The texture is smooth and creamy, and the Joy Lati ice cream on top adds a milky flavor. It wasn’t necessarily our favorite combo, but if you like Paletas, you would love it! The rainbow flavor itself was a 5/5, but it drops a little to a 4/5 with the Joy-Lati.

This was really good!

You can never go wrong with a frozen treat, and these ones are TASTY! While you’re visiting Disneyland Resort this summer, we highly recommend you stop by here and try out some of their flavors. For more Disney food reviews, make sure to follow us at the Disney Food Blog.
