Between Disney World and Disneyland, many closures and construction projects are affecting both coasts. And while we are excited to see what the future holds, we know it can be a bummer when lots of spots are closed on your trip.

Which is why we are thrilled Disneyland has quietly revealed when one popular lounge will reopen.

Several days ago, the Broken Spell Lounge, at the Disneyland Hotel, closed for refurbishment without a reopening date confirmed. However, after checking on the Disneyland website, we noticed that hours are listed as starting again on October 25th!

This space has seen many different themes over the years, but this current iteration is dedicated to Sleeping Beauty. This theme is evident in the dark colors of the lounge, the tree designs on the walls, and the use of green lighting. This really is a cool place to grab a drink or a bite to eat when visiting the Disneyland Hotel, and we are happy that this closure is set to be very brief and guests can enjoy this space once again at the end of next month.

However, if you are visiting in the next few weeks, there are still lots of themed locations with great food that you can check out in the meantime. Including the incredibly popular Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, or if you are taking a visit to the Grand Californian, you can go to the Hearthstone Lounge. There is so much incredible dining to be found across all the Disneyland hotels and both parks, so you’ll never be without amazing options!

If you’ve been following Disneyland news recently, then you know that an all-new parking structure is coming to the Resort. 

We’ve been highly anticipating this new structure, and hopefully, an easier parking experience at Disneyland and it looks just we’ve just gotten a huge update!

There are currently lots of new projects coming to Disneyland including the Avengers Campus expansion, a new Avatar-themed land, and a new Coco ride.

And with these expansions, Disneyland is going to be more popular than ever, which is why we were relieved when Disneyland filed permits earlier in the year for a new parking structure at the resort. This new structure and transportation hub is set to add around 6,000 new parking spaces as well as new areas for shuttles, ride shares, new security screening areas, and even a dedicated access for traffic off of Disney Way.

We think this new parking structure will be a great addition to Disneyland and help make parking easier and more seamless for guests. And we have an exciting update to share because Disneyland has officially broken ground on this new project.

Jill Estorino, the Disneyland Resort President, shared in a post on Instagram, “Today we celebrated the groundbreaking of our new parking structure and transportation hub, an exciting step forward for Disneyland Resort and the City of Anaheim. The arrival experience is an important part of every guest visit, and I’m grateful to the City of Anaheim and our community and construction partners for helping to bring this project to life.”

Halloween has officially arrived in Disneyland! Which means fall decorations, Oogie Boogie Bash, and lots of exclusive Halloween treats to try.

There are lots of new Halloween treats to try this year, and today we are bringing you reviews of all 11 treats we tried to see if they should be added to your list if you are visiting Disneyland this Halloween season.

Disney revealed so many new treats that all look incredible, which means it’s going to be SO difficult to narrow down which treats you want to prioritize this year. So today we are bringing you full reviews of a bunch of Disneyland treats, so you know if it should make it onto your list.

First up, we visited Market House to try the Churro Hand Pie for $6.49. This is a pastry crust filled with spiced cake, with cinnamon and sugar on top. This tasted very similar to a coffee cake that was placed inside a pie crust. The inside was so soft, and the thick layer of cinnamon really came through!

The flavor was strong and came through extremely well without being overpoweringly sweet. A word of warning: this treat was very messy between the cinnamon sugar and how crumbly it was, so be prepared with napkins. This isn’t something we would go out of our way to try again, but it was very delicious, and if you love coffee cake, this is a great option for you!

We also visited Alien Pizza Planet to check out the Alien Macarooooon for $9.49. This is made with a classic sweet macaron shell, with a tart berry filling, and an adorable Toy Story design. When you first bite into this treat, you get a tart flavor quickly followed by a nice sweet kick.

That sweetness comes from the sugar in the shell, while the center is very tart with a berry flavoring. The Alien’s eyes are made with white chocolate. Overall, this is a great mix of sweet and tart, and it’s a great portion for the price. If you are looking for an absolutely adorable treat this Halloween season, you should try this!

Next up, we went over to Edelweiss Snacks to grab the Matterhorn puff for $7.49. This is filled with cinnamon apples and cream, topped with chocolate and sugar. We were shocked by how much we enjoyed this treat! There was so much of the incredible cream filling, which was complemented so well by the cinnamon apples.

The cinnamon flavor came through really well without being overpowering. The shell was perfectly soft, and the chocolate on top was an amazing addition to finish off this treat. Overall, this was a really good treat and definitely worth a try.

Next, we took a trip over to Schmoozies! to try the Matcha Mickey Shaped Waffles for $10.99. This is made with matcha-flavored batter, matcha powder, banana custard filling, and whipped cream. While these might not be the cutest snack, they were very tasty! The matcha flavor was very mild, and the banana custard complemented the matcha very well.

We would recommend eating these quick because the custard does make the waffle a little soggy. The whipped cream added a nice sweetness, and the most prominent flavor here was definitely banana, so if you are not a banana fan, you might want to skip this. These flavors were amazing, and we would recommend giving this a try if you love matcha and banana!

We also stopped by the Cappuccino Cart in Disney’s California Adventure to try the Mickey-Shaped Waffle Macaron for $9.50. This is a Mickey-shaped macaron with Salted Maple Buttercream, Maple Syrup, and chocolate-coated waffle pieces.

This was full of rich caramel, vanilla, toffee, and maple syrup. That was very sweet, and the buttery interior really added to that sweetness. If you love sugar and sweetness, or you’re craving waffles, this will satisfy you and is worth a try!

Next up, we took a trip over to Lucky Fortune Cookery to try two snacks. First up, we got the Seasonal Baymax Macaron for $8.99. This is made with Ube cream and a salted caramel filling.

This was one of the richer and sweeter Seasonal Baymax Macarons we have tried, and it was delicious. The Ube and Caramel flavors worked together very well, and we really enjoyed this. But be warned that the cream is VERY purple and will dye your hands, so make sure you have napkins.

We also tried the Three Milk Ube Tea for $7.99. This is made with Ube Milk Tea, Boba, Whipped Cream, and shredded coconut. This drink was shockingly very good!

It was super refreshing and a little heavier, so if you want to try lots of snacks, know that this one might be more filling. Both the whipped cream and coconut added a good flavor, but the texture of the coconut shreds was a bit odd. This was very tasty, and we would definitely try this again!

Next, we grabbed the Fluffernutter Churro for $8. This is a classic Churro topped with peanut butter sauce, marshmallow sauce, and chocolate chips.

This was ooey gooey, warm, and ultra sweet. The peanut butter and chocolate were a natural blend, although the marshmallow did get a little lost in the mix. The cinnamon churro added an extra layer of sweetness. This was heavy but very tasty. Overall, we felt like this was slightly overpriced for what you got, but it was still a good treat and a must-try if you love peanut butter.

Then we went over to Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor to try the Rest in Chocolate for $12.79. This is Chocolate Ice Cream in a Chocolate-Covered Waffle Cup, with Chocolate Cookie Crumbles, Gummy Worms, and a Chocolate Tombstone.

We LOVED this one! This was an incredible value: you get two big scoops of ice cream (you can choose any flavor you want), and there are tons of those toppings throughout. You could definitely share this, and we would get this one again, cause you can’t go wrong with Ice Cream covered in Oreos on a hot day!

Last up, we visited Grand Hall Cart Halloween Treats and got two items. First up, the Gingerbread Skeleton Cookie for $11. This was a classic Gingerbread Cookie covered in icing.

This might be one of the best gingerbread cookies we’ve ever tried. The cookie was soft, airy, and had an amazing texture. The gingerbread flavor was strong without being overpowering, and the cookie itself was not exceedingly sweet. The icing on top added to the sweetness, but it was the perfect amount and was not overpowering. We LOVED this one.

Finally, we grabbed the Sally Pumpkin Cupcake for $9. This is made with devil’s food chocolate chip cake with a coffee fudge filling, topped with pumpkin spice buttercream. The cake was moist, airy, and delicious!

The devil’s food chocolate chip cake was super subtle, but there weren’t any actual chocolate chips in the cake. The chocolate flavor comes through from the coffee fudge, and the pumpkin spice buttercream made everything exceptionally balanced. The cinnamon to nutmeg to pumpkin ratio was perfect, with none of them overpowering the other. This was rich, decadent, and a must-try this Halloween season!

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is bringing us LOTS of Disney news.

Everything from movie news to theme park updates and anything in between, we have heard about it all this weekend. And Disney has just revealed yet ANOTHER update on the expansion coming to Avengers Campus in Disneyland.

Right now, Avengers Campus at the Disneyland Resort is in the midst of a HUGE expansion that will double the size of the land, with construction in progress for two new attractions announced at D23 2024: Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Tonight, Disney shared that the land will soon reconnect with Cars Land.

Disney shared new details on the storyline, ride experience, and featured heroes for Avengers Infinity Defense. When it officially debuts at California Adventure, you’ll be welcomed to Avengers Infinity Defense as new recruits, where your journey begins with a pre-mission briefing from Ms. Marvel, played by Iman Vellani. You will learn that your mission is to reassemble the Avengers to battle King Thanos, preventing the mad titan from wreaking havoc everywhere.

But that’s not all! The Stark Flight Lab will also feature Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. As previously shared at SXSW 2025: On this new attraction inside Avengers Campus, you’ll sit in two-person “gyro-kinetic pods” and roll along a track before stopping in front of a giant robot arm, essentially feeling what it’s like to train like a flying Avenger.

Disney announced that both of the new attractions will open in 2028!  Throughout D23, we have also gotten several other Avengers Campus updates, including a model of the new Stark Flight Lab attraction coming to the land.

We have also gotten a look at the vehicles for this technologically advanced ride, which will let riders experience the simulation of flying.

In the new Avengers Infinity Defense ride, riders will go throughout the multiverse. It will feature several iconic characters.

Every Disneyland hosts Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour.  This is a specialty, ticketed nighttime tour that takes you through both Disneyland parks with a tour guide as you take in the themed decor and hear spooky Disney-inspired stories.

If you love great food, then you’ll want to hear this Disneyland news. Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby is officially opening tonight!

This brand-new restaurant is opening in the Downtown Disney District of Disneyland, and you can visit today, so let’s dive into everything you need to know.

This is a vibrant new British dining experience that will feature three distinct dining environments. There will also be a terrace overlooking Downtown Disney, and it will even offer a great view of the fireworks on select nights. The restaurant will serve dinner nightly from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you are looking to make a reservation, you can do so on OpenTable, and walk-ins will be welcome based upon availability.

Some of the highlights on the menu include:

• Hallmark signature dishes, including beef Wellington, fish and chips, and sticky toffee pudding.
• Classics like bangers and mash and cottage pie.
• A selection of globally inspired dishes including branzino, chicken Milanese and a chickpea tikka masala.

If you’re visiting Disneyland this week, then you need to make a trip to Downtown Disney on June 19th!

That’s right, Disney on the Yard: Yardfest is making another Downtown Disney appearance, and we are so excited. So let’s dive into everything you need to know for this year’s event.

Disney on the Yard is an incredible organization that focuses on building community for HBCU alumni working across The Walt Disney Company and providing meaningful opportunities for students in the College Program.

And for the past several years, they have thrown the Disney on the Yard: Yardfest at Downtown Disney District to celebrate Juneteenth. And Disneyland has just confirmed to their social media that this event is returning this year.

This year’s event will include a special appearance by Mickey Mouse in his Drum Major outfit, games, prizes, as well as specialty food and beverages. And it will run on June 19th from 5 PM to 9 PM.

This is an incredible event every year, and if you are at Disneyland, make sure you take some time to check out this event and have some fun with Mickey and all the great activities, eat some amazing food, and of course, support this incredible Disney organization!
