Showtimes Are CHANGING for This Popular Disneyland Experience

Changes are coming to a popular show at the Disneyland Resort!

Bluey’s Best Day Ever!

From mini episodes on Disney+ to a brand-new movie and new experiences at Disney Parks, Bluey has become more and more popular by the day. Over at Disneyland Park, fans can experience Bluey’s Best Day Ever!, an unforgettable experience with Bluey and Bingo. Well, the show is about to get a big schedule change that you’ll want to know about.

We recently went to check out Bluey’s Best Day Ever! over at the Fantasyland Theatre this week, and the show was unexpectedly closed. When we took a look at the Disneyland app, we found out that the show is about to undergo a major showtime change very soon.

It’s closed!

Bluey’s Best Day Ever! adjusted its performance schedule to Fridays through Sundays up until September 27th. The shows are at 11 AM, 12:20 PM, and 1:40 PM.

Bluey and Bingo

Additional performances will be added on Mondays at the same time slots starting on September 28th. Then, on October 1st, Thursday shows will be added to the schedule as well. That will be the final schedule change, which means Bluey’s Best Day Ever! will be Thursday through Monday at 11 AM, 12:20 PM, and 1:40 PM.

Don’t miss it!

The showtime schedule goes until October 31st, as that’s the furthest you can look ahead on the Disneyland calendar. If any more showtime changes occur, we’ll make sure to let you know about them. If you haven’t been to Bluey’s Best Day Ever!, it’s something you need to check out.

All the kids were really into it

There, you can join Bluey and her sister Bingo for a fun-filled celebration with interactive games and a live musical show! Bluey and Bingo appear live on stage, joining a troupe of comedic actors and musicians. It’s an adorable show that brings the popular show to life, filled with iconic music and games inspired by beloved Bluey episodes that fans will recognize.

Disneyland Quietly Announces “it’s a small world” Closure for Holiday Overlay

If I were in charge of Disney Parks, every single ride would have a holiday overlay. Can you imagine? Peter Pan’s Flight: Holiday Edition. Matterhorn Bobsleds: Rudolph’s Revenge. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Presents. I’m a little biased, but these sound amazing.

“it’s a small world”

Unfortunately, not every ride in Disneyland and Disney World can get an overall holiday season makeover, but a select few do get a bit of love and Christmas lights. One of those is “it’s a small world” in Disneyland (but not Disney World — another change I would make if I were in charge). We just got news on when the ride will close for a refurbishment, and it’s coming up soon.

On the Disneyland calendar, “it’s a small world” closes on October 30th. “it’s a small world” Holiday returns on November 13th, ready to bring some Christmas cheer to the park.

it’s a small world Holiday

In 2025, the holiday version opened on November 13th and ran until January 25th, so we’ll likely have similar dates this year. If this version of the ride is at the top of your list, plan a trip between mid-November and early January so you can catch it. 400,000 lights also illuminate the attraction’s facade, and the clock face features a big Santa hat.

Inside

November 13th also marks the start of the holiday season at Disneyland, when everything becomes a bit more magical. It runs until January 6th, and you’ll be able to enjoy a 60-foot-tall Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A., and over 80,000 shimmering lights on the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Christmas at Disneyland

Mickey, Minnie, and some of their friends will be wearing their new holiday attire, and you can even meet Santa at Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn near Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.

Mickey and Minnie at Disneyland in their Holiday Best (2023)

For special entertainment, be sure to watch Believe…In Holiday Magic fireworks spectacular where you can even check out the snow on Main Street. There’s also the A Christmas Fantasy parade with reindeer, toy soldiers, gingerbread, and more strutting through Disneyland.

“Believe…in Holiday Magic” Fireworks

Haunted Mansion Holiday has already transformed into its holiday version since it’s technically a Halloween and Christmas movie. This ride can get super busy, but it’s one that you don’t want to miss and is a fan favorite.

We’re so glad that the holidays are almost here at Disneyland, so in the meantime, make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more Disney news and tips and tricks that you don’t want to miss to have the best Disney vacation ever.

Disneyland Quietly Announces a REOPENING Date for a POPULAR Lounge

Between Disney World and Disneyland, many closures and construction projects are affecting both coasts. And while we are excited to see what the future holds, we know it can be a bummer when lots of spots are closed on your trip.

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland

Which is why we are thrilled Disneyland has quietly revealed when one popular lounge will reopen.

Several days ago, the Broken Spell Lounge, at the Disneyland Hotel, closed for refurbishment without a reopening date confirmed. However, after checking on the Disneyland website, we noticed that hours are listed as starting again on October 25th!

Broken Spell Lounge

This space has seen many different themes over the years, but this current iteration is dedicated to Sleeping Beauty. This theme is evident in the dark colors of the lounge, the tree designs on the walls, and the use of green lighting. This really is a cool place to grab a drink or a bite to eat when visiting the Disneyland Hotel, and we are happy that this closure is set to be very brief and guests can enjoy this space once again at the end of next month.

Broken Spell Lounge

However, if you are visiting in the next few weeks, there are still lots of themed locations with great food that you can check out in the meantime. Including the incredibly popular Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, or if you are taking a visit to the Grand Californian, you can go to the Hearthstone Lounge. There is so much incredible dining to be found across all the Disneyland hotels and both parks, so you’ll never be without amazing options!

This Disneyland Lounge is Now CLOSED For The Foreseeable Future

Another closure has hit Disneyland Resort, but it may not be one you were expecting.

Broken Spell Lounge

Inside the Disneyland Hotel, you’ll find a spot that has seen many different versions of lounges over the years. Currently, you’ll find the Broken Spell Lounge here, which opened back in late 2025. However, if you were hoping to stop by on your upcoming trip, that just got much harder.

The Disneyland website currently lists the Broken Spell Lounge as closed for refurbishment. Operating hours are currently posted again on the Disneyland website for dates starting October 25th, 2026.

©Disney

Broken Spell Lounge is inspired by the Disney animated film Sleeping Beauty, and that’s shown throughout the theming of the space. When open, you can grab small bites like the dry-rub chicken wings, classic Caesar salad, savory steak frites, and molten chocolate cake, as well as glasses of wine and special cocktails like the Old Fashioned or Black Thorn Bramble.

Benevolent Faerie at Broken Spell Lounge

If you’ll be near the Disneyland Hotel and are looking for other spots to check out, we recommend Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar for an incredibly immersive experience, the Palm Breeze Bar, as well as Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill. Not to mention, you can also order room service if you find you don’t want to leave the room.

After a 4 Month Closure, This Disney Ride Is Finally Reopening!

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have seen dozens of ride closures and refurbishments this year, including Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and Toy Story Mania.

Disney California Adventure

A popular Disney California Adventure ride closed back in April with no reopening date, and Disney just announced that the ride will open this week!

The Silly Symphony Swings at Disney California Adventure closed on April 27th, with no official reopening date. After a four-month-long closure, the Silly Symphony Swings will finally open soon! Disney just announced that the ride will reopen on Friday, August 28th, 2026.

Silly Symphony Swings

In Silly Symphony Swings, you’ll experience the thrill of flying as this classic ride carries you aloft for breathtaking views of Disney California Adventure’s excitement below. As music swells and the colourful canopy rotates, your swing lifts, tilts, then twirls you round and round, higher and higher into the air as you wheel above it all in graceful, soaring circles.

Silly Symphony Swings

If you’re headed to the ride for the first time, it’s a little hidden. Go to Paradise Gardens Park and walk to the back, past Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, all the way to the end of the land by the back entrance to Pixar Pier.

Silly Symphony Swings

For younger riders, the Silly Symphony Swings has a height requirement of 40 inches (102 centimeters) or taller. Riders must be at least 4 feet 5 inches tall to join in on the symphony!

Riding These Two Disneyland Rides in September Just Got A LOT Harder

Disneyland Resort is undergoing tons of construction projects, largely in part due to the multi-million-dollar Disneyland Forward project in the works.

Indiana Jones Adventure

Lots of people only talk about Disney World when it comes to construction projects, but Disneyland has its own fair share. If you’re visiting in September, we’ve got some news you need to know about that may make your trip harder — two MORE temporary closures are being added to the list.

Disneyland has just added two closures to its upcoming list that will affect you if you’ve got a trip planned for September. Thrillseekers will be sad to know that Indiana Jones Adventure will close on September 8th for refurbishment, and there’s no reopening date currently set. Currently, the Disneyland calendar goes out through September 13th, and it remains closed through then.

Indiana Jones Adventure

The Mark Twain Riverboat will also close on September 8th for refurbishment, but unlike Indiana Jones, times do start showing very soon after. The Riverboat will be closed September 8th through 11th, but then begins showing times again on September 12th. This ride does often close for refurbishment, usually in small increments, so this isn’t entirely unexpected. Keep in mind that this ride does close way earlier than most others, operating only through about 5:40 PM due to Fantasmic! each night.

An Exclusive Disney Vacation Club Perk Is Ending SOON

From dining discounts to merchandise deals, who doesn’t love to take advantage of the perks Disney offers? But one of our favorite perks is Disney’s secret lounges hidden across the parks!

Disney Vacation Club members can escape the heat (and the crowds!) by visiting the Disney Vacation Club Star View Station at Disneyland. But that’s about to change soon, because Star View Station is temporarily closing!

Star View Station is located in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. The lounge is filled with retro space-theming and historic Disney gems, including the old K7 Space Suit worn by the Tomorrowland astronauts in Disneyland Park! There are a variety of amenities, including a special Disney Vacation Club Member Services team, plenty of seating, complimentary Wi-Fi, device-charging stations, and complimentary soft drinks.

But Star View Station is temporarily closing soon! Starting on July 27th, 2026, the lounge will close for routine maintenance work. It’s scheduled to reopen on an unannounced date in the fall of 2026.

Star View Station lounge

Once Star View Station is closed, you can head to a temporary lounge space inside Starcade, located near the exit of Space Mountain in Tomorrowland, where you’ll find a sectioned space made available for Disney Vacation Club members.

Starcade seating

While the Disneyland Disney Vacation Club lounge is closed, you can still access the neighboring Disney California Adventure‘s DVC lounge. The Golden Vine House near Wine Country Trattoria offers ice-cold air-conditioning and plenty of seating.

CONFIRMED: 2 NEW Closures Begin in Disneyland Next Month

Disneyland is a busy bee these days!

Sleeping Beauty Castle

The original Disney theme park is wrapping up its 70th Anniversary celebration while preparing for a Halloween takeover that starts next month. Speaking of August, two new closures are coming to Disneyland next month.

Going to Disneyland means riding genuinely iconic attractions, trying out famous food, and even hugging some human-sized mice. Things are constantly changing around the theme parks these days, so checking the construction calendar ahead of your park day should be part of your vacation routine right now.

Disneyland Main Street

In August, there are two closures that might throw your plans off, and one is definitely more impactful than the other. First, the Haunted Mansion will be closed starting on Saturday, August 8th. This one isn’t a huge surprise because this is an annual closure!

Haunted Mansion in Disneyland

The popular Disney ride will be closed to make way for its spooky overlay, Haunted Mansion Holiday! This is when Jack Skellington, Sally, and more characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas take over the famous ride for a fun holiday twist. This overlay is a hugely popular attraction that started back in 2001 and has grown in popularity since then.

Haunted Mansion Holiday

Haunted Mansion will close on August 8th, but it will reopen on August 21st, 2026. Jack and the gang will be in the spooky attraction until the holiday season ends sometime in January 2027. Disney hasn’t confirmed a closing date at the time of writing. Last year’s version, it ran until January 7th, 2026.

Haunted Mansion Holiday

The other closure is Main Street Cinema! This walk-in attraction closes on August 10th, 2026. This vintage movie “palace” screens some of Walt Disney’s earliest cartoons traditionally, but right now, it’s playing a short film called  The Last Verse. This short film is about the famous song “it’s a small world” and the last verse written for the song by  Richard M. Sherman in his final contribution to the Disney company.

The Main Street Cinema

The short film was added for the resort’s 70th anniversary celebrations, which officially ends on August 9th, 2026. The Main Street Cinema closure coincides with the end of the 70th celebrations, so it’s safe to assume Disney will be returning the cinema to the animated shorts rather than The Last Verse. Disney hasn’t stated this officially, but it is a safe guess.

Cartoons in the Main Street Cinema

Disney hasn’t shared when the cinema will reopen, but we’re keeping our eye on it. There are several changes going on around Disneyland, like the mobile order updates, classic attraction changes, and more. As always, be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news, updates, and more.

It Just Got a LOT Harder to Eat at This Disney Restaurant Next Month

Over at Disneyland Resort, one of our favorite lands is none other than Cars Land, also known as Radiator Springs in Disney California Adventure.

Cozy Cone Motel

It’s immersive, it’s fun, it has (arguably) one of the best rides in the entire resort, and it’s got some pretty great eats over at the Cozy Cone Motel! Instead of cars sleeping inside each one, they’re fun small snack stands, and we find they’re often really underrated. However, we just got word that some of these spots may be closed at various times throughout the month of July — here’s what you need to know.

Disney has quietly announced that the Cozy Cone Motel spots will be undergoing some refurbishment for a limited time this July, so if you’re visiting, it’s possible you may not be able to visit your favorite. Fortunately, they won’t all be closed at the same time, which we’re grateful for!

Churros from the Cozy Cone Motel

The schedule of closures this July is as follows:

  • Cozy Cone Motel 2 (Ice Cream Cones) and Cozy Cone Motel 5 (Popcone) will close on July 6th and have an anticipated reopening date of July 8th
  • Cozy Cone Motel 3 (Chili Cone Queso) will close on July 8th and has an anticipated reopening date of July 11th
  • Cozy Cone Motel 1 (Churros) and Cozy Cone Motel 4 (Frozen Cone-coctions) will close on July 9th and have an anticipated reopening date of July 11th

Ordering counter

That does mean that the second week of July is looking particularly a bit rough, but hey, we’re thankful for small miracles, like the fact that each spot is only closed for a handful of days. DCA is also full of other great dining options, so you won’t be left hanging!

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disneyland news, so stay tuned to DFB!

NEWS: Disneyland Announces ANOTHER Ride Closure for This Summer

There is nothing worse than finding out your favorite attraction is closed for refurbishment just as you walk up to ride it. We always want you to be aware of any upcoming ride closures. So, if you’re planning a trip to Disneyland this summer, you’ve got to heed this warning!

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland

Several popular attractions are closing (or have already closed) for refurbishment. We always let you know when a ride is set to close, but it also helps to check the online refurbishment calendar before your trip. However, we’re here to warn you about another new ride closure that has been added to the list!

Click for your FREE Disneyland Snack Map

Disneyland has updated its online calendar to note that a refurbishment starts for the Matterhorn Bobsleds on July 20th. Currently, the Disneyland calendar only goes through July 21st, so it’s not clear when the refurbishment will end. There’s no additional information listed on the website at this time.

Matterhorn Bobsleds

On that same day, there are also refurbishments ongoing for Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition and Pirates of the Caribbean. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is currently closed in the park, but will reopen on June 12th. King Arthur Carrousel will also have a short closure this summer.

©Disney

Closures and refurbishments can be added to the Disneyland calendar at any time, though they usually show up at least a few weeks out. It’s a good idea to check the calendar a couple of times leading up to your trip to see if any planned closures could affect you. You’ll need to go to the “Day View” section of the calendar and scroll down until you see “Closed for Refurbishment.” Don’t forget to check both parks, Downtown Disney, and the hotels!

Small World!

Knowing which rides, attractions, or restaurants will be closed can help eliminate that last-minute disappointment when you arrive in the parks. It also might give you the flexibility to reschedule your trip to go at a time when your favorite offering will have reopened. Most of the time, these closures are just for planned maintenance, but occasionally, Disneyland will update rides or change them for the season. Haunted Mansion typically closes in late summer to become Haunted Mansion Holiday, an incredible The Nightmare Before Christmas overlay.

Haunted Mansion Holiday

Then, recently, we saw a brief closure at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, where it was updated to include new missions themed to The Mandalorian and Grogu. The ride now has new scenes, missions, and planets available, featuring beloved Star Wars characters from the new movie and hit Disney+ series.
