When we arrived for Savannah Banana Day, one of the first things we spotted was the merchandise setup!

There are a couple of different events throughout the day that feature the Savannah Bananas, and fans have SHOWED UP to celebrate this special occasion. The crowds are pretty heavy, and also, they’re looking pretty yellow. 🍌⚾

The crowds are HEAVY

The castle hub area was packed with people waiting for the first event of the day — the performance at Disneyland Park at 10AM.

Ready for the performance

The performance featured both teams singing and dancing like they’ve become famous for doing at their games. The crowd was hyped up! They also showcase the bands that perform for the Bananas and the Clowns.

It’s a party!

The Indianapolis Clowns also put on their own section of the show, and it was incredible! If you get the chance to see one of the Banana Ball League games in person, we highly recommend it.

After the first performance, we got to interview some of the members of the team. Did you know Jackson Olson is a MAJOR Disney Food Blog fan?! We’re SMITTEN. 782 minutes of DFB YouTube watch time is seriously impressive.

Always a pleasure getting to chat with THE Jackson Olson! 🍌⚾ pic.twitter.com/kTPUSYasln

And if you’ve ever seen the guy in the banana-colored suit and matching hat, that’s Jesse Cole. He’s the founder of Fans First Entertainment, which owns the Savannah Bananas. He was out with the team today, having an absolute blast.

After interviews, we had the Savannah Bananas Cavalcade at 12:30PM. This was another popular offering, and fans were staking out their spots well in advance of when it stepped off at “it’s a small world.”

For those fans who were spending the day at Disney California Adventure instead of Disneyland Park, there was another performance from the teams at 1:30PM in Paradise Gardens Park at the World of Color viewing area.

The cheerleaders!

NOTE: We’ll continue to update this post with photos from our day, so stay tuned!

Savannah Banana Day was an absolute blast today, and we can’t wait for next year!
